If he pees in the house or makes poo poo.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Go get a book on PROPER housebreaking...there are lots of great ones out there. Look for one about crate training...that works best. Make sure the puppy goes outside frequently (every 2-3 hours and after eating or drinking), and when he goes potty out there make a big fuss about what a good boy he is.

Never hit your dog.

I have no idea why you cannot order dog training supplies from
somewhere in Europe or have them shipped from America?

But regardless, hitting your dog is never appropriate.

In the meantime, you could go to a hardware store and make
yourself a make-shift slip collar from either chain or rope. And
improvise either a cord or rope as a leash. However, I’d probably
be remiss in stating that this should have been something you
thought about BEFORE buying a dog.

Regardless, it is possible to train a dog without the proper
tools. But it’s a lot harder… especially for a beginner.

In the meantime, if he nips at you, you should say, “No!” and
then grab the scruff of his neck and give a firm, quick pull and
release. You may also try grabbing his ear and giving it a quick
tug/pull.

Neither of these techniques are optimal. But given the
circumstance, it’s the best I can recommend.

Also, please be aware that you should only be correcting biting
and for housebreaking. Don't start formal obedience until the dog
is 4 to 4 1/2 months old.

Should I Hit My Puppy

Positive reinforcement works better than anything and works on even the most stubborn, old, puppy, neglected or even puppy mill dogs. Just think of the puppy as a small child that's being toilet trained. A dog or child wants to do anything to please you. Just keep to a definite routine. Use a crate, paper train, puppy pads, close off unused rooms to prevent temptation, no food after a certain time in the evening, watch for his signals. Some dogs are naturally more intelligent than others also. Dog food/treats and praise, either verbal or a pat work the best. The dog will soon learn by the tone of voice when you are displeased.

NO! You never hit a puppy, don't rub the nose in it either. You take them outside often. If you want to hit someone because he does. Hit yourself. It is bad owner not bad puppy. They don't have alot of control. It is basically # of months = # of hours they can hold it. If they haven't had any training they just need to learn. Don't leave them to roam the house. Crate train. Use a bathroom or utlitiy room to close them in if you don't have a crate. Put down papers or wee-wee pads. Dogs dont like to soil where they sleep. That is why crate training is highly recommended.

Stop and think how you would treat a child. Puppies are no different.

What you do is show him the pee or poo so he knows why he's being punished, say no in a firm voice and swat him, once, with a rolled newspaper. It isn't necessary to actually cause pain because the puppy knows he's being punished. Never hit a puppy with your hand.

Always praise him when he does something right.

Absolutely not. If you catch him in the act take him outside right away, and since he is just a puppy don't give him the full run of the house, he will need to be supervised and taken out after he eats, drinks and plays. You have to be very consistent and praise him when he does a good job.
When anybody gets a puppy you have to be ready to invest the time, eventually the pup will get it.

Whatever you do don't rub his face in the mess, all that will teach him is to hide when he does it and be afraid of you.

this is how my vet taught me to house break a puppy.he ask me what is the first thing you want to do when you get up in the am or after a nap. naturally i said pee. right he said same with a puppy. a puppy eats, sleeps, plays and pees and poops.so he said take her out every hour on the hour,no matter if she went out 15 mins. before. take her out every time she wakes up from a nap.take her out first thing in the am and last thing pm. it is important to take the puppy , don't put the puppy out. and believe me some days i used a umbrella. i worked and was gone 8 1/2 - 9 hrs. a day and i house broke her in 2 weeks.

please dont hit your puppy for any reason. if your pup is messing in the house you need to do several things. take it out after eating or drinking, playing (as that stimulates the digestive tract), and after a nap. as for the floor, use 2 parts water to 1 part apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle. blot the area 1st with paper toweling, spray the area with the solution, and blot again with fresh toweling. it will take away the smell and leave no stain. take the paper toweling that has the urine on it and place it a spot in your yard that you want your pup to use. you must also take out the poos and place them where you want pup to go. when you take pup out, place it in the area where you have left the toweling and poos. pup will think,"hey, ive been here before." praise puppy highly for doing its duty where you want it to go. ive used this method with 3 dogs and it has never failed.

No absolutely not! If he goes in the house it's your fault for not taking him out soon enough. When a puppy messes in the house, ignore it, and put the pup out so they don't see you clean it up. Then make sure to ake your puppy out every 2 hours to go to the bathroom. This is not play time it's potty time. If the puppy is playing around take him back inside for another hour or so and watch him carefully. If he starts to go to the bathroom in the house, say no in a calm voice, take him outside right away (try to make him finish outside).
