Beagles are among the hardest dogs in the world to train. They are sweet, but all of their brain cells are connected to their nose. If they're not housebroken right from the start, they usually never will be. If he's not neutered, have it done immediately.

You can try a professional trainer, but you will VERY likely be throwing away hundreds of dollars and achieve nothing.

You need to return to day 1 and treat this dog like a puppy - go out and get a crate and start house training using the crate system. If you are unfamiliar with using a crate to house-train a dog - Google search for Internet articles - you should find many -

I don't know that "He goes crazy when he sees the other animals" means - is he vicious? He is excited jealous? I can't give you an answer because you have not explained to me what his behavior is and what is he is doing and how the other animals react.

When you start the house-training - wipe down all know accident spots with white vinegar to eliminate any trace odors.

Good Luck

I adopted a terrier mix who was 4 years old. When I first got him, he urinated on the walls in my house. I knew he did that because of my older dog who was already living here. He was neutered, so it was a matter of marking his territory. This phase didn't last too long. In addition to the marking, he was also a "wild child" who hadn't had any attention before and was clueless as to what he was supposed to do and how he was supposed to behave. I've had him four years now, and through patience, repetition, and showing him exactly what I expect from him he has become a wonderful dog. Your beagle may be the same way. However, I think obedience training may be the way for you to go initially.

Do you know why Beagles bark at EVERTHING??
Because they CAN!! JK!!! LOL!!
Beagles are one of the more difficult dogs to train. Some tend to be VERRRY stubborn. Talk to your vet for helpful suggestions. Oh! And no dog is impossible to train. It may take a little more time but you'll get there!! A training class that has you VERY involved to train you as well as your Beagle might help!! :)

There is a program on the National Geographic Channel called the Dog Whisperer. He trains people and their dogs. It is really informational and he also has a book out. The Dog Whisperer. Beagle are rabbit dogs and love to run. My advice would be for you to walk your dog for about a hour at least twice a day. We took in a Beagle that moved in on us last December. She is almost impossible to keep in the yard. We have been letting her out in the evenings to run and it makes her so happy. Good luck on the potty training. We keep ours outside.

Neutering might help, and I also suggest a dog obedience class. Dogs like to know their place in the family, and what is expected of them. A little training can go a long way. Don't give up on him, he needs you and the loving home you provide for him! Good luck! :)

Neuter him if he's not. That will help some, but some of this is now habit for him. Crate train him for housebreaking, and take him outside a lot. When he goes potty outside, reward him. Take him to obedience classes pronto...the sooner he's trained, the better for everyone.

first, you need to let the dog know who's boss. if you have ever watched 2 male dogs play-fight the first one to get ontop of the other wins, making the winner more dominant and powerfull. you have to do the same with your dog, if he is acting out of line, simply push his shoulders to the ground and give him a firm no. and to solve the pee problem is a toughie... best thing i can sugest is keep him outside more often, and even call the vet to get him cheaked out, it could be a serious problem. well good luck and i hope this helped!

His urination problem may not be uncontrollable to him, he might have a urinary problem that needs to be noticed. Thats it the case with my dog. When she pees in our house we give her a "pee pill" that we get from the vet so she stops driping in the house.
About the other animals you might want to call a dog trainer who will give you good feedback about your docks behavior with your other pets.
GOOD LUCK!

if he's a male and he's not neutered, then get him neutered asap... this will help with the spraying and agression.... then after that take him for obedience classes
