If a K-9 Dog is instructed to begin to sniffing out drugs, will he only search for drugs he is instructed to or can he search for more than one thing at a time? For example, is the instructor has the dog do bomb sniffing, will he also alert to any drugs he finds or can a dog only sniff one thing at a time. A few friends and I are in a debate over this. I think they can only be instructed to sniff one thing at a time....does anyone know the answer?

I have a wonderful affectionate male kitten but he's a little terror. I understand he's a kitten and will grow out of some stuff but how do I keep him from climbing furniture? He's knocking over vases, pictures, etc.

He's finally grown out of the climbing the curtains stage, so I'm happy about that. lol

I have now put fishing wire all the way around but I have heard that herons return to the same pond until they are sure there is no free meals left. I don't feel confident enough to restock straight away - it is only thin wire after all! So how long is it the right time?

I found a bug, looked more like a brown lump that literally grew on my dog (I found one in the summer, and one last night). It stuck on my dog, really hard to get it off. It was the size of my pinky finger nail. Does any one know what kind insect is it? I am sure it is not fleas

My kitten is about 4 months old and I believe still has his baby teeth. Anyways, he lost half of his left canine a while ago, not sure what happen but the pointy part jsut broke off about a one mm length. Anyways, today, the rest of the tooth is cracked in half and in two pieces and one of the piece is very loose from the gum. If this happen in a human, I'm sure I would be in a hell of a lot of pain. I put some Orajel on him, yes it's human medicine. He doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain or anything but do you think I should just pull out the VERY loose part of the canine? And uf yes, how, just pull it out or have him bite something, any advise. Again he doesn't seem to be in any pain but cats are very good at just ignoring pain.

A friend of mine has a cat that had kittens 8 wks ago. She has a roomate that has been treating the kittens like orphans and shutting the mother out. It is my understanding that @ 8 wks. these 4 kittens should be weened. However the roomate refuses to stop giving them a bottle (that they never had to have to begin with). I have fed the kittens hard food and soft food, it is clear the only reason they cry when she is around is for attention. All she does is rotate the bottle all day and all nite long. My friend doesn't wish to hurt her feelings so she alows this to go on. I am more concerned with the quality of life for the kittens. Before I confront her I would like to obtain documented proof that this "feeding" thing has to stop! Can anyone refer me to a website link that provides the information on this subject? After all I could be wrong.

I have a Great Dane dog (Rory) and he poops at awkward times and in inappropriate places. Once, he pooped just oustide the steps of a church and before I could pick it up, a bunch of people came storming out (it seems there was a small fire) and they all went sliding all over, a few face down in the excrement. Another time, I was "entertaining" a woman in my bedroom and Rory was standing near the bed. I'm not sure if he was rebuffed by my romantic gestures towards my lady friend, but he jumped on the bed and proceeded to poop all over us. It was so gross! Another time, he pooped just as some pallbearers were approaching carrying a casket. Needless to say, they slipped in the awful brown sludge and dropped the coffin. What do I do?

so, i have a 8 month old pup who has crappy teeths. i was brushing them again today & noticed that his left top fang was extremely wobbily. now, if you have read my other Q's, you would know my dog lost his k9's & that his fangs are redish black in color and that i have boughten him tons of doggie helthy chew toys & feed him nutro. i also give him these doggy mint things & brush his teeth once a day. ive been doing this for 2 months, and the teeth? they have gotten worse- like i said, his fang is wobbaly. i guess the only good news is his right fangs arent as bad as they were. the bottom right is a little bluish black, but the top one is turning more of a yellow pearl white instead of the red orange. i called a vet 2 see what it would cost to get his teeth serviced & she was surprised i wanted to bring pup in about teeth problems(usually, dogs dont get to that point till 2 yrs) i then mentioned the red tooth & she freaked saying they needed to be pulled. so, should i save $ and do it??

My dads friends family has a female chocolate Lab. They want to breed her just so that she becomes a better dog. The question is, is letting her have puppies have the same effect as her spending ALOT of time with puppies that need to be fostered? Please answer with a responsible answer.

Our yorkie (5 years old) has always gone ballistic when we leave the house. He starts barking as soon as we put our shoes on or I pick up my purse. We've tried everything - shock collar, treats, scolding - but nothing works. He barks incessantly - we still hear him outside when we're getting into the car!!!
