Is it true that when a female breed dog mates with a cur then 7 generations of her puppies are ruined? Ruined in that matter that all these puppies are not breed dogs and in all of these you can see the cur anchestor. How is it even possible? How can one cur make a difference in so many generations, even if all the other puppies are mated with breed dogs?

We recently adopted a black lab/doberman mix. We think she is mostly lab. My question is, why is she so afraid of water? I thought Labs LOVED the water? She is a very loving happy 2 year old. But when the sprinklers are on, or it rains, she cowers by the front door! Even when we try and bathe her, she panics!

I need advice please...real advice...not smart aleck answers please. I dont know much about dogs, but I am sure there are some great dog lovers and experts online here who can give me some suggestions. Thanks a bunch!

but i want a smallpuppy thats still a baby and thats a small breed the shelter dosent have many of them and if they do get some they probly dont last long because the volunteers ther may take them home themselves

My dog is a three year old Shepard Mix. He is about 85lbs and is a good guard dog. He has become increasingly more agressive towards myself and my boyfriend. He is not a bad dog, he just needs a place to live with a lot of room to run around and a patient owner. My boyfriend and I just moved and started new jobs and we haven't been able to give him the time he deserves. Please respond with any advice you have. Thank you!

my cat is very ill and i think she knew that she was dying, because for the past 2-3weeks she was going into places where she had never gone before. and she was 8 pounds (thats her normal weight) which the vet said was healthy for her. and when she hid in our basement for 3 days, she only drank her water. she has kidney problems and when we got her out yesterday we couldnt even give her a treat. i mean she couldnt chew it she didnt have the energy. we didnt have to get out her cat carrier to bring her to a vet. we just put her in a towel and held her. and she normally squirms. we all said good bye to her and she even allowed my dog to give her a little kiss on the nose. she has to be on an i.v. drip for 2 days, and i was wondering if anyone had any encouraging words for me to tell her or something. i am at the vet right now with her so if you could help my family get through this hard time. she is 13 and that means that she is 70 in cat years. thanks and good bye.

It will be for 3 wks. time, do I charge by the day, by the wk? How much? I live in SC. Most petsitters I have looked up just stop in the person's house to take the dog out. If I have the dog w/ me 24/7 do I charge less, since I am not traveling or more, as the dog gets more attention?
