Actually, Bernese aren't the largest by any means.. they're 23 - 27 inches tall and 70-120 pounds. (I own one ;) The tallest are Irish Wolfhounds, heaviest are Mastiffs and Saint Bernards.

I would have to go with St.Bernards, Dane's, and those Bermese Mountain dogs...they're a good size and width!

Wolf Hybrids are huge. Hard to control though due to their wild nature.

i'm pretty sure great dane is the tallest.....but not a thick dog by any means....
