My dog is a three year old Shepard Mix. He is about 85lbs and is a good guard dog. He has become increasingly more agressive towards myself and my boyfriend. He is not a bad dog, he just needs a place to live with a lot of room to run around and a patient owner. My boyfriend and I just moved and started new jobs and we haven't been able to give him the time he deserves. Please respond with any advice you have. Thank you!

Shepards make excellent companions to horses, look for horse boarder, or stable territory close-by!

Put an ad in the newspaper. You might also check with some rural veterinarians to see if anyone has expressed interest in a Shepard or Shepard mix.

Maybe; or if you can locate a some type of Veterans Group out in the country; maybe there would be a farmer would love to have a nice Shepard to keep the deer out;

Thats what I would do.

Perhaps you should take the dog to training classes. Those classes really don't train the dog as much as they train the owner. Most people run into behavior problems with dogs, like children, because they don't parent! Train yourself, train your dog!

People like you are the reason there are tens of thousands of dogs in shelters. You bought the dog and instead of changing your lifestyle to meet your dogs needs, you expect the dog to change his to meet you... which is why he's acting the way he is. Unloved and undisciplined!

Let's just hope you don't do the same thing if you have children!!!

Veterans group out in the country? Horses? Please don't follow those idiotic pieces of advice!

Contact the local Veterinarian offices......they usually have bulletin boards to advertise or know of people who will take in the stray dogs.
