I have a four month old pug puppy that came to me from the breeder paper trained...YUK! I used the crate training method with my two year old pug who did perfect and never once pottied in the crate. Not my new puppy...she pottys and poops in the crate, even if you just brought her inside. I know it takes time, but every puppy book I have read assures me that they will not potty in the crate (unless left too long of course). I have even partitioned the crate so she only has room to turn around. Think she will out grow this behavior? Any suggestions?

He snapped down on the kitten and that's all it took. He was dead within 10 minutes. This isn't the first time he's killed. He's a very intelligent, loyal and affectionate dog but he's not good with cats. I tried to bring him to our local animal shelter this morning, but they said he would be put to sleep so I brought him back home. I've also put an ad in our local newspaper. But what if I can't find a home for him? What will I do with him?

My do will climb 6 foot brick walls like a cat. He will not listen like he is deaf, and seems to like me bailing his *** out the pound. Without going to some animal trainer or calling the dog whisperer, what can I do to curb his ways. Besides the 15lb. weight I have him dragging right now.

My 13-week old puppy has been treated twice for worms, once when a positive diagnosis of Round and Hookworms, and a second just two weeks ago as a follow up. Just today my fiancee found a little blood in her stool with thin, short (maybe .5 inches), little "worms" in her stool. What kind of worms does this sound like? She's still eating, drinking, and playing, and her stools are not runny nor is she vomitting, so I'm not too concerned about parvo or anything...any ideas on what kind of worms they could be? How did she get them? She has no contact with other dogs and she was just dewormed (Strongid) two weeks ago!! Can they be passed to us???

It's 4yrs old and healthy and has never done this before. It has toys and things in his cage. Just wondering why now it would be biting and tearing bits of the perch. Should I be worried? Is this a phase or breeding/hormonal thing that will pass?

I just brought home a 2 month old kitten and I'm having the worst time getting her to use the litter box. I've shown her where it is, put her inside it and showed her to scratch at it, and I've even picked up the poop off the floor and stuck it in there. But nothing seems to work. She just squats and goes where ever she is at. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey guys and gals. its me again the guy that wants to put the catfish in my pond. Thaks for all the good advise. If I do not put the catfish in how can I get rid of all the sludge and dead vegitation off of the bottom of the pond. It is a little big to go wading in there and to big to use nets. I am sorry the pond is about 8000 gal 20x20 4 ft deep

I have a freshwater aquarium (10 gallon), and it's nice and all, but I'd like to try an aquarium with some really beautiful fish. A lot of the colorful ones are saltwater. I take care of my tank, and it's not a big hassle. I change the water, add some chemicals, feed them, make sure everything is ok every day, and that's about it. Is a saltwater tank significantly harder to maintain? And besides for what I just mentioned I do to take care of my freshwater tank, what additional things do I need to do to support a healthy saltwater tank?

Or would you recommend just buying a bigger tank and purchasing aggressive fish? Those seem to be really nice too. I was thinking cichlids and some others, maybe an eel too. Can peaceful fish such as my australian rainbow be put in with fish like those? Thanks, any ideas/help/comments would be appreciated.

I open the window then ten minutes later and i can count at least 12! all shapes and sizes, some as black as they get and others albeno white!

So what's with em?

why doe they do that thing, ye know, bomb dive for the light til?

And where they all go through the day?

I actually quite like my strange little friends, though is it cruel to kick em back outside? do they stand a better chance of survival inside or outside?

And is it true about moths eating ya clothes uh?

I have a pet Female Red-Ear turtle that i found on the side of the highway 2 days ago. I brought it home and have been taking care of it until she got better because her arm was hurt. But today, she laid 5 white eggs, and then died. The eggs are soft. But i have no idea how to take care of them.

Sure i burry them in dirt of something? If so, how deep should i burry them, and how compact should the dirt be over them? OR, should i just leave them out in the open? Do i need too keep them warm, or wet? How long until they hatch?

HELP please!

I have just found out from a neighbor of mine that if you don't own a carrier, a pillowcase works just fine and the cat just takes a snooze in it. Is this true?
