my kitten (who is about 10 months old) thinks she is a dog. i also have a bulldog mix who is almost 11 and i think the cat has learned these habits from the dog. my dog pants when he gets tired (duh) and i was wondering, is it normal for cats to pant?? because whenever she gets back from romping around in the woods she always comes back panting..?? she likes to dig in the dirt, too. i guess that one is a little more "normal" but the panting thing freaks me out! is something wrong with her?! please help. thanks!!

Even If you are not a glider fan you have to admit they are cute right? Take my poll at rockonsofia.tripod.com (but dont put www. on the first part, its weird if you do that it won't work)
So, What is your favorite color glider?

Let's see...

Say you're at the grocery store. You're looking for Campbel's Chicken Noodle soup. What you find is aisle after aisle of cans w/ NO labels. You can buy 6 different cans(spending MONEY-lol),haul them home & open each for supper.
One is pumpkin. One is beans. One is soup but it's beef. One is peaches(& you happen to like peaches). One is mackerel(& you HATE it). One IS chicken soup but NOT Campbell's & NOT w/noodles.
So,you back to the store & HOPE to find another can of peaches....HOW?

With me so far?

With purebred dogs from reputable/ethical/responsible breeders(Yes,we're out there)every time you go for a particular breed, that's what you'll get. Those traits you're looking for have been locked in by long hard work, centuries of hard work by dedicated people...to get that recipe right & ALWAYS coming out the same.
Did I manage to get that across?
Probably not...folks don't want their fallicies pointed out to them.

He is so good, very fun and never bites, will momentarily calm when we pick him up to get out of trouble spots, but when in lap will wiggle and be so wild after play session, any ideas, techniques for calming?

I'm getting a new puppy in July. I can't come up with names though. It's a vizsla, a copper colored short haired dog, thinner than a lab. I was thinking Tessie (dropkick murphys!), Poppy(or papi) or Penny. Any other ideas? i need them quick!

I was just wondering what other people's experiences were with animal communicators.

I have a Flemish Giant. He has fleas around the eyes, between the ears and on the nose. The fleas are easy to get rid of but they have left lots of "flea dirt" in his fur. What is the best way to get it gone? Oh yes, the flea dirt is like their waste product.

We recently adopted an 8 week old puppy from an Animal Orphanage. The women who sold it to us told us it was a Staffordshire/Australian Sheperd Cross. After a week of falling in love with it we found out that his mother was a full bred Pit Bull. Anybody have any experience with pit bulls?

That's right, and everyone who thinks that is a dumbass. There's a good article on it over at www.goldfishutopia.net

Anyways, the 1" per 1 gal only works on fish like tetras. However, goldfish, ciclids, plecos, and many other "round" fish grow exponentially. A 5" goldfish will weigh many grams lighter than a 6" one.

So please stop posting this "rule of thumb" and start giving good advice.
