I've never owned an exotic pet, Probably the closest thing I've had that may be considered exotic is a betta fish since they originate in china.

snakes.
I was turned in once for having deer. Classic case of people not knowing and judging - they weren't deer...they were sheep. But I got a visit from the game department wanting to see them...guy was laughing all the way back to the vehicle.

i have a crested porcupine - cute, surprisingly easy care
but that could never compare to the deerlike sheep of Jan H, oh LOL LOL, you have made my day. pictures of both sheep and deer can be found in toddler´s coloring books, omg, omg

Anole lizard. It changes colors (just to green and brown). They are pretty awsome.

have had hedgehog died this past april / hampster /cockatiels / ferrets / rabbit /fish / dog ./ cats / racoon / finch / had a great blue heron live in my yard 2 years in a row could get close to it does that qualify ?
