I have recently had 3 new additions to my family. My boston terrier had an emergency c-section on 6/6/06 to a litter of 3. One puppy was caught in the birth canal for almost 1 hour. He has a hematoma on his head and is starting to go away; however, he is very tiny and seems to not or can't latch on to the mother's nipple. He is very limp and all he does is lay there. I have been working with him everyday keeping him warm and trying to nurse. Sometimes he gets it, but for the most part he doesn't. I think being that he hasn't eaten properly since he has been born, this is why he is so weak. I have already contacted the veterinarian. She told me to make sure I keep him warm and to work with him. Being that he was stuck in the birth canal for so long, I feel that he has several things wrong with him. I want to save him very badly. I was wondering if regular baby formula would supplement the milk from the mother? I know there is puppy formula but I can't afford it right now.

My cat is anywhere between 60 to 63 days. She has been acting very funny tonight. She has been wondering around all evening, but stops in her tracks and begins licking her bottom area. I have been keeping an eye on her but getting worried, this has been going on for several hours. Please tell me what the signs of going in to labor are or what they are when they are in labor...Thanks

My 4 year old cat is vomiting quite frequently lately. I would take him to the vet, but I thought (until now) that this might be normal hairball-type puking.

He's overweight (always has been, though my other cat - his brother - is slim) He seems happy and healthy otherwise. He's not particularly active, but I haven't noticed any changes in his behavior to indicate that he's not feeling well. In the past couple months, he's had times where he's vomited more than 3 times in one day - but then have no problems for a week...it's been on and off like that. When he does puke, it appears to just be food/water (though his food is darker than what I find on the floor). Sometimes, it's just a watery-bile substance.

If anyone out there is familiar with what this might be, please tell me what you know. I'm in a financial pinch right now, but will take him to the vet if this seems to be anything very serious - I'd rather go broke than have my poor Chester suffering!

Tiyona's, my pom, last two litters all died and her milk came down, she is up to date on her shots and I gave her vitamines as I did with the first litter. Does anyone have any possible reasons this may have happened.

my beautiful 2 year old cat died this morning. i want to know what caused it. last night he didnt get out of his bed at all bf and i thought maybe he had a cold or a tummy ache and said we would take him to the vet in the morning, he was having trouble walking and his tummy looked a bit bigger than usual, but this morning i got up and found him lying on the floor with very watery feoces half in and out, also there was some clear gooey stuff coming out of his mouth he had already passed. What could have caused this? he was so young and this came very unexpectedly he was fine the day before yesterday. Any suggestions??

I did some research in the internet and found out that owls eyes only glow if there is a light shined on them. Well there's no lights to shine them where I live so I have no idea what it could be. I tried turning on some lights in my house to see if it would stop and one night it did, but tonight it just kept on flickering. I live by an airport but the light doesn't move. There's no electrical boxes where the light is and I don't think there are too many animals in WI that have glowing eyes when no light is being shined. What other animals are nocturnal with glowing eyes, live in trees, and could be found in Wisconsin?

We have a LabxGoldern ret. who can push his under the mesh fence. For a big dog he squeezze his way thru small spaces. I have tried pepper, chilli powder along fence line, no good. I now have large tree logs lying at the fence but he is slowly working them away from the bottom of the fence.
Once out he just thinks it is a game and won't came back when called. I am frightned that he will get run over when on the road.

He likes dogs but not cats because he fully believes that cats carry more diseases than any other pet and that it's not healthy to have one around. Ofcourse I disagree with him because I had both cats and dogs growing up and didn't have problems with either.
