My little 15lb. dog just ate a long piece of dental floss. Will this harm her??? We are going camping tomorrow. Can and should I take her or should we see a Vet?????? I don't want this getting wrapped around her intestines or something. Please advise!!!

I have some newly hatched chicken chicks, who've been sitting under Mum in the sunshine and overheated. They're still alive, just, but looking very sorry for themselves. They are reluctant to drink, what emergency first aid can I perform?

My orange tabby was neutered four months ago when I took him to the vet for a wound that developed an ulcer. I have heard that they fight less when they cannot mate, but two of my cats including this one have had either a negative reaction to the surgery or none at all. My black and white longhaired, Pepe(like pepe le peu) was severely depressed after neutering and even chewed wounds in his side and pulled his hair out. My orange tabby, whom I just call Kitty or Baby, has not changed since neutering and is very prone to ulcers and bad wounds. Both cats are male.

I love me kitty like family and I hate to see him hurt, especially after Pepe died at the age of 14 due to bowel obstruction and intestinal complications. How can I reduce his tendency to fight with other cats? He has a serious play-aggression problem which may contribute, and there are three other cats with territory in the neighborhood.

Can anyone be of assistance?

Hi. I have a small flock of chickens (just 10) and a beautiful rooster. However he crows every morning, not normally a problem, but at 4am it's a bit much! I'm not going to kill him (as much as I'd like to sometimes) or get rid of him but does anyone have any sensible suggestions for keeping him quiet? I have heard you should raise the perch in their roost so they can't get their heads up to crow but his roost has a high ceiling and it'd be pretty impossible. Any other ideas?

My newborn boston pup (4 days old) still needs my help getting him to mom's nipple. I didn't think he was going to make it, but with everyone's help on this website, he is still holding on. He is doing much better. He does still feel cold sometimes and when he does, I have him with me using a heating pad to warm him up. This seems to help tremendously. He doesn't move around like the other 2. He is thinner and smaller. When I pick him up he is very limp. He doesn't seem to be able to hold up his head quite well yet. When I warm him up, I give him back to mom and I have to express her milk a little bit until he finally latches on. I almost have to hold him upside down before he does this. He acts as if he doesn't know how to nurse. Rather than his tongue being down, he has it up so this makes it very difficult for him to latch on. It takes me approx. 10 minutes before he finally catches on. When he does, he stays on for quite a while. Can someone give me some advise?

SO, this little bunny that is only as big as my fist when hes balled up, was in my back yard screaming. I got a flashlight and caught the cat standing over him. I chased the cat off and gently put the little guy in a box. He just lays there on his side and doesnt seem to be responsive. I called 2 24hr vets and they said theres nothing I could do, let him go (basically). Hes still alive and opens his mouth like he's taking a deep breath every few seconds. about 25 minutes have gone by so far. I put triple antibiotic on his wound. the only place there is blood is on one of his front legs. I really need good advice to save the little guy. I dont mind even staying up with him all night. The vet said it was a nice thought, but I should just make him comfortable and warm (I wrapped him up in a couple little hand towels) and let him pass, another said I should put him in the freezer to be humane and speed up the death. I am currently ridng a youn 4 y/o paint...who will run good to the first barrel...she won't rate but she turns good then she gets scared of the second barrel and either spooks or gets almost around and starts side passing ending up giving me a NT.
