I think that people should stop focusing on the fact that the killer was Korean. They should look at the deeper side of the issue.

This is mostly a rant, not technically a question, but I can not understand the root of racisim. I mean, how can people just discrimate against a group of people without getting to know them first??
That was a stupid question, because I KNOW that people do that, and they just do.

Even now, just 20 minutes ago, the user "call me" on Yahoo Answers told me to get mental help just because I was Korean, based on the VT killings.
He/She had told me that "Koreans should all get mental help becuase they are scary, because they are so quiet."

How do you know if I'm quiet or not? Who are you to tell me what I am and what my state of health is?

I just think its very irrational that people are putting race into this and they should stop putting even more hate and anger in the world.

Sorry that you had to listen to my rant/ =]

But why wasn't there any security on campus that could have f#&ked up this guy, before he killed all those students and faculty members.

VA TECH CAMPUS MASSACRE "Pure souls always be home early"

Do you think people would have starting screaming, "This was racially motivated!" Or do you think that people would have taken a "common sense" approach and examined it for what it was? A senseless killing?

I'm serious. Who's gonna rob a bank if there are thirty armed customers inside? That kid in Virg. Tech would have been stopped after he shot the first kid. Yeah, it'd take people some getting used to, thinning the herd and all that, but you'd have alot less crime and more responsible citizens after the first year that the law was passed. Who's crazy, limp wristed casper milqtoast? or ME.

I know Virginia Tech is a tragedy and i wished it never had happened but do you think the virginia tech will became a sought of news heaven for the mainstream media since media doesnt really have anything constructive to report ( imus situation which went out of proportion as if it was the most horrifiying incident) do you think would it be appropriate to have media presence constantly at Virginia Tech, shouldnt the media just leave them alone untill they return to normalcy

...or will America`s liberals realize this guy was a nut (or troubled, a liberal`s verbal preference)... and stop acting upon their own impulses that tell them right now (and yesterday already) to use this rare incident as a means to renew the always defeated "new gun control laws" argument? How about other anti-American arguments that liberals are now once again trying to exploit after this American tragedy?

To go through the background check, show 3 pieces of ID and everything else.

Should a Lie-Detector test be involved in this process now?
How about a metal evaluation?

This may not have stopped him, but would have defineitly put him on the authories radar.

I got to thinkin and police authorities are trying to see if the 2 crimes that happened at VT were committed by the same person. Well....my theory is....what if they are? I'm thinkin that whoever did this did a very smart thing (no i'm not crazy, it's basic magic.... a good diversion). Say he did do the first shooting (2 victims) then the suspect himself called 911 and reported the shots fired and while officers were over there securing the scene he went on the rampage. Because I haven't heard anything on any of the news chanels in regards to the first 911 caller being male or female. Just a theory...any thoughts?

I am an Asian. I know that people will say that it doesn't matter what the race is, but from what I can tell...people seem to be pointing this out a lot.

Do you think this will have any negative consequences. Realistically...not based on your personal opinion, but the tendency of human nature to blame...

I don't think anything bad is going to happen, but I was just curious about opinions.

I do not think it was a girlfriend issue. My Dad's friend was maried and he was one of the nicest people I ever met. One day, he came home from work and caught his wife having sex with another man. He immediately pulled out a gun and killed his wife, her secret lover and himself... If it were a girlfriend issue, it would of been spontaneous.

I think this was planned and I think the shooter or shooters were just psychopaths or terrorists.

What do you think? If a few students or teachers were legally holding a handgun, there wouldn't have been 33 murders today. That nut-job would have thought twice about walking into a classroom if he knew people would be shooting back.
"Our streets in our country are in turmoil. The universities are filled with students rebelling and rioting. Communists are seeking to destroy our country. We are in danger -- yes, danger from within and without. We need law and order. Without law and order, our nation cannot survive." This was said by Adolf Hitler in 1933. The first thing Hitler did when he took over Germany was to take away everyone's guns.
