last year at school, we had the father of rachel scott (killed in the columbine tragedy) come to our school, and talk to us.
he was amazingly inspirational, and really made us think.
i hate to admit this .. but i have gone totally blank about what actually happened in the comlubine tragedy.
it would be helpful if someone gave me an outline of the tragedy.
thankyou so much ..

I have heard that during the '71 war US sent its 7th Fleet to Bay of Bengal as warning to India to stop the war. Since US was and still is Pakistan's ally, it wanted to protect Pakistan. But Indians were not the ones to be intimidated by this. The US 7th Fleet was forced to return home. I want to know the full story. Please provide details.

I also wonder about the whole Hagia Sophia thing, especially since it was built when there was one Christianity. ex: Why did they not want the pope to pray there? Is it because the Ottoman Turks desecrated (spelling?) the Hagia Sophia and tried to turn it into a mosque by hiding all of the paintings on it? I am very curious about this.

What a friend I have in Algebrand These rainy days in Swindon wouldn't be the same without him. The other day, Algebrand told me that if ants were the size of humans they could carry a 40-story skyscraper in their mandibles

Well, as you can imagine, Algebrand and I were as happy as a pair of boy scouts on a 60's Hiberian, orienteering expedition. How amusing it was to imagine our 40-story block of flats being plonked right in the middle of the Lake District, by a man-sized ant.

What a fantastic view! What a spectacle!

If this had been the end of the story I would have said no more but, just as we were finishing our Chamomile tea, we spotted a colony of man-sized, army ants swarming across the Swindon downs, and heading straight for us! Before we knew it, the entire town had been transported away and dumped into the North sea. Would you credit it! Who would have thought that ants were not only incredibly strong, but also had such exceedingly good taste.
