I believe that if I get offended, it is my own fault; because I am the one that controls how I think. What's your opinion?

i saw a young boy of 14 get killed by a train yesterday.. my 5 year old daughter saw it too.
he was being sick or spitting over the edge of the platform when the train struck his head (how he didnt see it i dont know!)
it was all over the news today, but about an hour ago it was back on the news saying he had died after not regaining conciousness from his surgery..i feel absolutly numb ... all im doing is crying.
any advise for getting over this tragedy? i dont know the boy but i really am upset for his family and the fact i was there when it happened.
another thing is that i think i am going to ask the school if they have a memorial service for the boy, if they do i am thinking of going... do u think its a good idea? wud i be wise to take my daughter with me? only 3 minutes before this happened i was telling her to stay away from the edge... it cud have been her in my eyes as a parent.

aby advise u can give will be greatly appreciated

A guy from England flies over to New York. He checks into his hotel and then decides to go for a short walkabout in the Big Apple. Anyways the guy gets lost and ends up sleeping rough for five days. Apparently the guy was 'too meek' to ask for directions and ended up in hospital with hypothermia. Is this story for real?

I live in Sacramento and listened to their morning show. As most people are aware, they held a water drinking contest to determine who could drink the most water without using the bathroom and a woman died from drinking too much. Initially I felt like it was an unfortunate accident, but after listening to the the DJs statements, I'm beginning to think they should be criminally prosecuted.
1. They didn't tell the contestants that there was any chance that they could die.
2. The DJs knew about a pledge who had died from drinking too much water at a frat party and still held the contest.
3. A nurse called to warn them of the dangers and the DJs responded by saying, "Don't worry about it. They signed the release so we're not responsible."

I've gone to Lukas, Maney, and Trish's (the DJs) myspace pages and all these people are telling them how sorry they feel for the DJs and how the lady should have known better. I was stunned that people blame the station and the lady, but not the DJs

According to wikipedia and other sources, she had "sex' with a 14 year old back in 2005. That would make her 25, not 23! If that's the case, why did people keep saying she was 23?
