You should never say good-bye to the dearly departed. Know that you will see your friend again. We will all be reunited with our past loved ones. As for the husband, I don't think the funeral would have been an appropriate place for you to reveal his secret. Say a prayer to GOD and ask for your friend to be watcher over. You don't entirely lose anyone, you always have her in your heart and memories. Keep her memory alive by remembering her. Her children will need you more now than you can imagine. They are going to want to know all about their mother and you just might be the only person who can give them the details. I would contact the authorities though if you have any proof of him molesting the step-daughter. That is one thing you could do for your friend now that she is gone. Watch over her kids and make sure they grow up the way she would have raised them. Thank you and GOD bless.

I'm sorry you couldn't go to your friend's funeral and I'm sorry there won't be a gravesite for you to go to, either, so you can say what you need to say.
Here's a suggestion.
Go get yourself the biggest, most beautiful, best-smelling candle you can find. Dedicate it to your friend. When you are ready, take a night or afternoon by yourself and light the candle in her honor. You might surround yourself with things that remind you of her -- pictures, some music on the stereo that she really liked, a sweater of hers you once borrowed, stuff like that. Whatever makes you feel close to her. Then say or think or feel whatever it is you want your friend to know. When you are finished with that, put the candle in your window as a beacon for all recently departed souls, so they know they are still loved and not forgotten.
Keep your candle in a very special place, and know that you can light it in her honor any time you miss your friend. But the first lighting is the most important, because it's the one you use to say good-bye.
Good luck.

Well that one is going to take time for you. But the most important thing is going to the police about "his dark secret". If he did it once he will do it again and it is YOUR responsibilty to do something since you know about it. This is a child and she needs protection. After that is taken care of you can say goodbye to your friend knowing that you helped her daughter. You will feel at peace after that.

It is going to take time but you can always tell her good bye but it is really going to have to be when you really know she is gone and face the truth about it.

You want to serve her memory, and what you know is a way to serve that. she may not have lived long enough to tell of this herself but you can write details and give them anonymously, make two copies. one you turn over to authorities and the other you burn. and then you go on with your life.
