Most of the Indians are serious about their country & I am one of them. I love my country. For me, Republic Day & Independence Day are a reminder of my Freedom.
Ours is a beautiful country with great culture & great people. It's a reminder of all this on Republic day.
It's also a reminder that I have to do something for my country to make a difference.

I think nowadays Republic day is celebrated as a joke or holidays
because the society's , the student's are not taking republic day seriously. They just think that we have got one day holiday so let's
enjoy, so they think in a gay mood. some people are serious
about this day. But in the olden days really republic day was
celebrated very seriously

both. people go and visit historical places, watch patriotic movies and parade on TV, listen to patriotic songs and so on. they enjoy as they do on a holiday but at the same time they move with pride with the completion of 57yrs of their country.

Every year we do celebrate Republic day followed by Independence Day as matter of formality with great speeches and great shows. The TV anchors/Media keep interviewing some top VIPs in society to talk on some less concerned topics like Patriotism, Terrorism, Social justice, Women rights,.. etc. Then the day ends with no constructive actions and the real issues remains same. I feel that the need of hour is
(1)to impart education and guidance to needy ones with involvement every citizen of India in true sense by sharing their concern and moral responsibilities even in small things like following traffic rules,
(2)To keep the surroundings clean (both physically and mentally)
(3)to extend help or seeking help from good neighbors to save the victims/needy ones in the time of exigencies,
(4)to voice their views to law makers/protectors through responsible NGOs,
(5)to share some amount of your earnings periodically to donate to honest charitable trusts/NGOs to up bring the underprivileged ones in the society,
(6)protection of both human and animal rights to some extent...etc.
(7)At last but not least to create awareness and precautions to children to protect from possible threats from some of on going open anti social activities in the country as it happened in Nihari (Noida) killings, Recent communal violence in some parts of the country,.. etc.
(8)If every Indian can contribute their support in these small things he/she can boast of Patriotism rather than spending huge resources towards grand celebration of these politically influenced official functions with lots of unfulfilled commitments and promises.
(9)Let us be True Indian by caring our fellow citizens through our these whole hearted small acts honestly.
(10)This is the common practice in most of other countries like USA, Iraq, Japan, China,.. etc and it is the reason for their great success in their all round growth.
(11)We must replicate most of their acts including even in the matters of Patriotism. Let all of us pledge on it think and act on it swiftly.
(12)Then we all will have the rights to talk of India to become Super Power or India Poised in later years
Jai India ! Jai Indians!
