The 9/11 conspiracy believers have always said that fire can't melt steel and concrete.....How do you explain the collapse of the highway overpass in Oakland after a single gasoline tanker truck caught fire underneath it???

The Richard Gere-Shilpa Shetty kissing case has been blown out of proportion with cases being filed against them and their effigies being burnt ,when there are so many cases are still pending which are of more importance than such trivial issues.I mean don't theses people filing cases have better work. When will India move ahead, I agree that we don't entertain such things but does'nt mean that we give them so much importance.

There have recently been growing number of cases where students are suspended or punished for criticizing their teachers on websites such as Facebook. I understand that you can be sued for libel if you call someone names or make up stories about them, but do schools or anyone has the right stop a person from criticizing or expressing their opinion, be it negative, about others in a public place. for example, I think Mr. X is bad teacher because he never answers his students' questions, or he doesn't know his subject? I thought students have the right to free speech under the constitution. Schools are calling this expression of opinion 'cyber bullying'. To me it seems they are the one who are bullying youth who do not understand fully their rights or don't have the means to take this to court where they wil surely win.

For those I chatted with last week..steel can't melt? Had to be set up..no way the towers could have gone down and melted that way. Did you see the pics of the overpass in Oakland? Yeah, that would be melted concrete and steel. Let me guess, the government planned that too. Keep in mind, I'm not blind to the fact that the gov't pulls the wool over our eyes at times...it's just this particular conspiracy seems so invalid to me.
So, what do YOU think the next big setup is going to be? And what is the biggest faux pais or out in the open (proven) gov't cover up? Just curious.

At Oxford University last week, the Oxford Union(the debating society) debated the motion, " This house regrets the founding of the United States of America".

Has anti-Americanism sentiment got to this stage?

I noticed that Democratic front runners are aware of such thinking, Clinton promising "....to get our country back in the standing it should be", Obama talking about rebranding America.

I've recently been introduced to the concept that money is debt. Governements don't just print money notes, they authourise Banks to create money by arranging loans. The money doesn't exist before the Bank arranges the loan, then when a person promises to pay back the loan and signs on the dotted line, the money is keyed in and becomes new money. In this way, banks earn interest on money they lend out that never existed before they lent it. They earn interest money on money they don't have. And it's legal!

How long can this go on?

What are the good things about censorship in mass media? I've written 5 pages why it is "bad", now I gotta write about 3 pages as to why it is a "good" thing.

Any body have some suggestions?

I don’t think the president cares about the people of this country; if he did he would not have sacrificed over 3000 men and woman in a war started with lies. None of the reasons we were given to start this war still exist yet we still get feed more false reasons every day and Americans are still dieing every day. It just amazes me that anyone can believe that we can change a mindset with force. And as my brothers and sisters risk there lives to end a war that did not exist before we started it I ask how will it end?

Virginia Tech made headlines when 32 kids got killed. Well, last time I checked, 32 people get killed every 8 hours in the USA, but there is no call for tearing them up and pasturizing them. No headlines reveal the real killer of our society. Why?

I don't believe in conspiracy theories and I certainly don't believe our own government had anything to do with the attacks. That's just idiotic to even think so, nobody gained from it (Asia's increased consumption has affected oil prices more than Iraq; and Bush's original foreign policy was directed at China, not the Middle East. He not bright, but he's not malicious either), but I still have a question.
How did the piolet find their targets? I'm sure you can't change the flight path to Manhattan. But, really, I have no idea about flying, so it could be possible. Is it quite easy to change destinations or did they drop elevation and follow the land by landmarks? I have no idea about flying, so please help explain.

If we look at the US and Canada together they are both quite similar in their culture - heritage(mainly European), language, sports etc. But yet the rate of gun related murders in the US is more than 50 times that of Canada.

I appreciate there are probably more guns per capita in the US, and I understand that Canada has stricter gun laws.........but the people are essentially the same.
It would be interesting to hear from Canadians as well as Americans.
