Questions like this lose sight of very important facts:

"Terrorism" isn't an isolated sect you can fight. It's not a form of government. It's as abstract as the "war on drugs" and, ultimately, just as doomed.

Terrorism is a tactic used by out-manned armies or groups of people who cannot win a war with conventional methods. It has been around for thousands of years, ever since the dawn of warfare, and it's never going to go away. Why? Because it's effective. While it may not win a war, it succeeds in throwing terror into the enemy, and that is something you can't easily make someone concede.

As much as I'd like to see us "stop terror," it just isn't feasible. There'll always be a new enemy with new reasons to despise us.

A better solution is to work to understand the source of this hatred and attack that source -- both literally and figuratively.

This isn't sympathizing with the enemy, as some like to say, but a practical solution that might actually have a chance at succeeding.

Since you accuse Bush of causing most terrorism I assume you are either an islamofascist or an idiot, possibly both.
Bush can't stop every islamofascist from committing evil acts of terrorism, and if you learned a little history instead of spouting mindless hatred for Bush you would know that islamic terrorists have been murdering innocent people since muhammad set the example. Now be a good little liberal and keep hating the people who protect your right to lie like you did when you made up this ignorant question.

Mr. President can attempt to turn or reverse course and stop the United States plan for global domination, however, there is way too much momentum toward continued occupation of the Middle East. Democrats and Republicans in congress will continue the funding of domestic terrorists and the shredding of the Bill of Rights.

Like the Titanic captain, this leader is going way too fast in treacherous waters. I believe that the establishment wants its strategic interests protected in the Middle East. The occupation is far too profitable for the war machine in controlling oil, selling weapons, and producing drugs.

This policy will have some short-term benefits for the economy of the United States, but at the cost of hundreds of thousands of innocent lives in the Middle East. In the long-term, we will run out of oil, contribute to global climate change, and wonder why we pursued such a dangerous course.

I wont pretend to like George Bush but fighting terrorists on their home ground of Afghanistan & Iraq has to be better than allowing them to be free to attack us in the western world, Hilary Clinton will probably be the next president but will she really be that much more effective or is it that she just has a better image in the media?

Of yea, George Bush is the reason people have flat tires in Africa and toilets that will not flush in France. His power is world wide and every poor SOB that does not have what he wants can blame the US and it's president. Was Rosie Odonnell one of your teachers?

Did you see him fly a plane into one of the twin towers? Bush may not be the 'perfect' president, but he certainly is no terrorist.
You appear to be from outside of the USA with that kind of question. And if you are a USA citizen you should know where the terrorists come from.
