I dont think it is a hoax.. I think those idiots actually BELIEVE it. Its a small lot of insecure people who need something to believe in and something to stand for so they can feel good about themselves.
There are plenty of scientist who believe it. Only problem is that their academic science is not pertinent to the topic at hand. I recently read a news article about global warming, quoting facts from a "scientist" to back it up. This "scientist" was a reproductive biologist... gee, that makes him quite the expert.
There is actually no proof that the sixty good solid years of worldwide fossil fuel use has had any effect at all.
These idiots are taught that junk in school so they feel it must be true, then they take any weather anomaly that occurs on the planet to back it up. If theres a drought, a flood, a freak hurricane, hot, cold, snow, windy or even earthquake, they scream global warming.
When I was in grade school they were teaching that acid rain would devour the major metros by the year 2000. Well we know how that worked out. But hippies were screaming even louder back then, now these bozos are the ones teaching you kids about global warming when 30 years ago they were yelling ice age.
Bottom line is that the eco-system is cyclic and its rather arrogant to think that mankind can affect something so perfectly put together.

As much as I like Michael Crichton as a writer I do believe in global warming. Most ot the major scientists in the world have stated in favour of global warming it's only those scientists, cuckholded by big oil and petroleum companies or who are conservative fools who say it's a hoax.

When the Inuit (Eskimos) have to file a lawsuit for loss of their way of life and habitat, you KNOW it's not a hoax . . . .

July 21, 2004
Eight states - California, Connecticut, Iowa, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin - and the City of New York filed a claim today against five of the nation's largest power companies. These companies account for about 10% of U.S. carbon dioxide emissions, and the lawsuit seeks to compel the utilities to curtail their emissions of this greenhouse gas. Doing so will reduce the utilities' contribution to global warming, which the suit alleges has injured the people of those states and violated their rights to use and protection of their natural resources.

This lawsuit echoes the contention of the Inuit Circumpolar Conference that U.S. emissions of greenhouse gases are in large measure responsible for the extreme warming taking place in the Arctic. This warming trend has damaged Inuit property and made hunting and fishing difficult and dangerous. The approximately 150,000 Inuit residing in the Arctic rely on their ability to hunt and fish to maintain their lifestyle and culture.

In December 2003, at a CIEL-sponsored event, Sheila Watt-Cloutier, Chair of the Inuit Circumpolar Conference, announced the intention of the organization to file a petition with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. The petition will aver that the United States has violated the human rights of the Inuit by failing to take measures to curtail its greenhouse gas emissions. The United States is responsible for approximately 25% of global greenhouse gas emissions, making it the world's largest emitter.

No! But the question is is it part of the life cycle of the planet and if so how much have we had an influence on it. I think mankind has as usual gone on its merry way without any regards to the environment.

We have helped create the GW and we should be seriously looking to reducing that impact.

Global warming isn't hoax. What is causing it is if-fie. Starting to wonder if Al Gore on ego trip, very definitely looking to profit indirectly, and most likely directly, isn't best friend polluters have. It seems the environmental movements movement was making more progress on health issues.

No not a hoax, its real, especially if you live in the northern latitudes the effect is more noticeable, but the real question , is it man made or natural, and I believe it is man made just like the ozone layer is and has shown proof man made..
