to "Dog-n" : Osama probably isnt in Iraq, but who knows, maybe he is, how would you know? If u know he wasn't there then you must know where he really is. Why arn't u fessing up? Do you support him?
AND, Al Queda moved to Iraq and made it an official central location for the extremist movement after the US invaded Aphganistan. Saddam also admitted to supporting al queda.

to "beckini" : Babylon is Iraq, not NYC. even 7th grade geography tells u that

to "Chipmunk": why would i get my nose out of the only truth we have to live by. If we had no religion, we would have no purpose to be here. All nations would be lost in a state of mind that doesn't even matter.
I also never asked people in Iraq to "die for my acapolypse", God just prophesized it, turns out he was right again

If you DONT support the war. you ARE NOT a Christian.

Molly,
Christ also asked the soldier to be kind to his captives. He wants us to respect other ideas but not let them walk over us. When Christians stop defending their faith, there will be no Christianity.

Osama Bin Laden and his cohorts will not cease until you are wearing a Burkha or are dead.
When Hillary or Barak is president, 9/11 will look like a ride in the park. Five thousand will be dead in New York city and Fifteen thousand will be dead in LA. Hundreds of thousands will be dead in between those cities.
We will probably be asked to forgive and forget.
I will not.

I just read Revelation 18 because I was wondering why you were using that Bible chapter to support your question.

This next part will not be popular but I'm going to write it -
After reading Revelation 18 it really sounded like New York City, U.S.A. If Hillary gets elected and wears purple and gold to her inauguration, I am going to scream.

btw, I don't support the war.

TO UNITED... You are not interested in a debate at all. You are only interested in people believing that you are right. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that "If you do not support the war in Iraq you are not a Christian." So now you are God?
Read Revelation 18 again since you have picked that ONE thing to support this grandiose claim. Purely out of debate I am saying that "Babylon" in this particular verse is a representation for New York City. The fall of the World Trade Center where - "The merchants of the Earth" did business is a lot closer to the explanation of "In one hour your doom has come!" Than anything in Iraq. It's taking a lot longer than ONE HOUR.

Also if you are using this chapter as an example and you think we as the Christians should be there, I quote from verse 4 - "COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT SHARE IN HER SINS..."

Wow your example chapter to support the war says for us to GET OUT!

I believe the Bible, but even very intelligent people who know a lot more than you or me have debated different interpretations. I am not so arrogant to challenge others by claiming that they are not Christians simply because they don't agree with me. I will wait and see what happens just like everyone else.
The Hillary comment was a bit of a joke. I'm actually a registered Democrat AND a Christian!

I believe that spiritually speaking - it is fundamentally about what you think the war in Iraq will accomplish. The fifth or sixth commandment (depending upon your type of Christianity) states "thou shall not MURDER" ; the best translation is thou shall not MURDER not thou shall not KILL (some bibles have the wrong translation). Self-Defense is okay. So a Christian should not support the war if he/she believe that being in Iraq will not stop terrorism. If someone does, in fact, believe that the US being in Iraq will stop terrorism and prevent a future attack, then the war in Iraq is in-line with their conscience and they should support the war. Everyone has to follow their own conscience and do what they fundamentally believe is right - otherwise, they are in fact committing a sin.
PS This is the first and last application of all those boring theology classes from my catholic high school.

I do NOT agree with the war in Iraq at all. GW Bush had no right to invade a country that NO delineation with Al Qaida based Osama Bin Laden. He is NOT in Iraq. He was in Afghanistan at the time of the invasion. 9/11 was Osama Bin Laden's fault.

I am a Christian and support our troops there but, NO I do not support the war!

I should hope no Christians support the war because CHRIST said
"Blessed are the meek for they shall inherited the Earth" or this one
"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God"
And that's the leader of Christianity speaking and I don't think he would like you speaking for him about war which he would have been against. And it is an insult to him to think that he was a man of peace.

Yes Jay Osama had a mission to turn one religion against the other and Bush played into his hands we are occupying Iraq not the other way round..

I am a Christian and I do not agree with the war in Iraq. It made no sense to me to go after Iraq. 15 of the terrorists who carried out the 9/11 attacks were Saudis. Osama Bin is also a Saudi. NOT ONE IRAQI in the group!

Can we all agree at least that Osama Bin Laden is NOT in Iraq?? Have we all forgotten about him? It's okay. We'll take some Iraqis instead?

I've had two cousins who have served in Iraq. I'm glad to have them back alive. I pray that all of our soldiers come home to their families alive.

Why would you want a war? This is why I'm not religious. I don't want any man made Apocalypse!

You need to get you nose out of the Bible and stop promoting war for religion. I'm on John Lennon's side. Imagine a world without religion. I think it would be a better place!

Do you want your children to die for this? Why ask those people in Iraq to die for your Apocalypse. I don't want anyone to die. I wish they could have some peace in Iraq. But, I know that religion is the main reason why it won't happen.

You should go help some poor people or do some good work. Don't promote this.

You can believe in something without religion. Plus believing in religion doesn't make it true. Good luck with your beliefs.

Well Chico - I consider myself a Christian and I do not support the war because it violates one of the Ten Commandments - "THOU SHALL NOT KILL" as well as violating Christ's personal commandment to us that we "LOVE ONE ANOTHER"! -

I fail to see where Revelation 18 has anything to do with our opinions since this is what God is going to do with Iraq any way not matter what since it is God's choice!

Lo Siento!

"War" is man's doing NOT "God's" doing. Being Christian has absolutely nothing to do with war, but rather, in every man's reasoning as to why a war should be supported or not.

Iraq did not attack us--nor did they have WMD or links to al-Caida. The war is based on lies.

And no true Christian can suppport that. The only people who do aren't real Christians--they are religious bigots who twist the Bible to excuse their own perversions.
