My sister who was also a police officer found a makeup bag with 500 dollars in it in a parking garage. She turned it in and it was later claimed by a woman who said she had borrowed the money to fix her husband's truck. The truck was their only means of support as he had a small hauling business.
My sister got a little write-up in the paper and an attaboy at work. You see sometimes there really is a cop when you need one. I was really proud of her for what she did.

I have not but I remember , a few years ago, my mother finding a wallet in a telephone booth filled with over £400 and cards galore, she rang a number contained in the wallet and the measly git just thanked her for being honest!
I personally would probably keep it now!

I did, I called the owner of the wallet and he told me he would reward me if I drove it to him and returned it. Me and some buddies made a night of it, drove 2 hours to the guys house. He ended up being loaded with money and gave us $1000 for returning it to him..............
