I am asking because me and my dad watched it and the newsreader was foreign, but we can't place her accent. Her name was Kirsten Hills. Any help would be greatly appreciated cause it's really bugging me.

didn't see it but does this help?

"
Kirsten originally considered a career working in politics. After studying the subject at degree level at Bristol University she worked in Brussels lobbying the European Union on conflict prevention and arms trade issues. While in Brussels she managed to get work with the Guardian newspaper and realised it was journalism she wanted to pursue.

She landed a place on the BBC traineeship, after gaining a post grad in Broadcast Journalist at City University, where she did stints on Newsnight, Panorama, 5Live Report and the investigative series Kenyon Confronts.

In 2004 she applied for a position at Central News after deciding to focus on reporting.

Kirsten lives with her Italian shoe-designing husband in Oxford. When she’s not working she tries to improve her Italian, plays the clarinet, loves cooking and reading. She also grows all kinds of vegetables on her allotment."
