Alec Baldwin is a high profile liberal, or atleast he has expressed his contempt for the Bush administration. So would this be a huge issue if he was conservative. Nobody knows what the child has done, maybe it was bad. Conservatives are,for the most part for arents right to punish their children as they see fit. Maybe the child did something really worthy or this response, maybe A.B. is a crappy dad. But foxnews would not make a big deal if A.B. was a neo-con, or a regular conservative.

The gunman apparently had two semi automatic hand guns. Obviously he had to reload every time he ran out of ammo. Also the guns were semi automatic, there are no automatic handguns. My question is, how he managed to kill all those people, it makes no sense. Where was the police in this situation? Why didn’t any of the male students or professors rush the gunman in an attempt to subdue him? I know I wasn’t there and I’m not judging anyone, but I just don’t fell one person should ever be capable of taking so many lives in that duration.

In Dogville the story is focused on how people abuse other people, behind the courtain of hypocrisy...
( more info about movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0276919/ )

Seems like every 10 minutes, no matter what News program you watch, there will be a bunch of noisy jackals that start debating, and it's always over something stupid...

I want to see the World Events, but I am forced to turn the TV off so I don't have to listen to their noise.

Why has the News turned into the Jerry Springer show?

Now people will realize why i hate being American, I was not there and i do not want to see this moran on the tv. Yes he was picked on as a child and a teenager, so was i but guess what, i did not murder anyone i still love everybody rich, poor, smart, stupid, dumb or whatever. I cant stand the media they cause majority of the murders that happen. They put the thought in peoples heads.....Such and such killed this way and then they tell you how. I was bullied in school and i would never take that action. What do you think?

She was abuse, tormented, made to do things she despised,
threatened, and forced to watch movies that demeanered her.
I'm a man, I love my wife dearly, but I know women should not be made to do anything they refuse to do, they should have the right to say know, or I'm not comfortable with that. They work hard too, at least my wife does, Were equal, and I respect her, something more women should get. I agree with the verdict.

Do you think the media has the responsibility to relate all information to the public or are there certain things that should remain censured? This is just something I’ve been contemplating with the recent coverage of the VT killings and Cho Seung-Hui, just curious to see what others believe.

The national news reports EVERYTHING that happens in the northeast but not as much of the rest of the country. If we are all equal then why did a big storm hitting NYC get more news coverage than the same storm causing a huge tornado in Texas. If an NE building or school gets evacuated it makes headlines but 2 people killed at NASA in Houston got maybe 30 seconds coverage tonight. It seems that the news is bias. What do you think, am I wrong?

The similarities are very close, they were both space agencies, probably caused by a discruntled employ and resulted in death

I was shocked at how much information the news media gave to the public. It seems as if they don't care or understand that there are a lot of sick people who don't need much encouragement to become copy cats. Have they done a disservice to the public? Should they have censored themselves and held back some of the details to protect the public? Wasn't it enough for them to turn the information over to the authorities? Did we really need to see those disturbing photographs of the shooter?

Do you just call newspaper and magazine editors and pitch stories or do you send them stories and they buy them (or not)? Where do I start?

Where was the outrage and grief when the Government shot to death, with firearms, four innocent students?

How come CNN did not call for banning fire arms then?

So according to CNN it is not okay for Cho Cho to use a gun and kill students, but it is okay for the Governemnt to use guns to kill students?

Yes what happened in Virginia is just horrible and I have not let my children see any of the footage that has been plastered across the TV or internet...
.But I am so upset when I saw Cho’s picture (the one with the guns pointed at camera/us) as I am walking through to pay for my groceries on a well known newspaper.
People have said “If you don't want to see these images turn your TV” off but how do you avoid this?
.And what about the young kids that have seen it without there parents knowing? What affect do you think it has one them?
I wonder if NBC asked anyone of the victim’s families how they would feel before they aired this footage/pictures of Cho…
.It is also said that people want to know? Wondering if these “people” were polled before it was aired.
My brother was murdered, and if his killer made photos/ videos like this and they were made public showing what he might have seen in the last seconds of this life ….and it would have sickened me.

Apparently in 2006 when she and Lindsay Lohan "broke up" then PH and Brandon Davis started their firecrotch "campaign" by telling media sources she was a firecrotch. (red hair on head think about it.....)
I have recently seen it posted in place of Lindsays real name on a quite big gossip page of US origin.
I read PH is almost 30 (well 29) in a magazine, is this not a tiny bit sick?

They're horrible, horrible acts. I know that. I just feel that all the publicity and attention they get leads to copy cats. Plus, it's gives the shooter exactly what he/she wanted -- attention. I don't wish to censor the media, I just wish they would do more responsible coverage. What do you think and why?

I was disgusted at the way all of the major news studios handled the Virginia Tech shootings. You'd think they were HAPPY about it, the way it was splashed all over the channels, like it was the biggest news story that ever happened. Meanwhile, 171 people were killed in Iraq. Why didn't THAT get as much coverage? How did we allow this to happen? Our news media has deteriorated into a parade of flashy, hollow celebrity wannabees, feeding us pre-fabricated "info bites." I don't WANT to see pictures of the killer or hear his godawful writing samples! I'm sure the victims families don't either! Where's the news media's sensitivity?
