In light of the September 11th Attacks, July 7th London bombings, Afghanistan and Iraq wars, do you think you view film violence differently to how you did, say 10 years ago? And why?

Not in light of those attacks, no.
I do think film violence may have something to do with senseless massacres like the VT one. Of course it doesn't affect most people that way, but some irrational killers do watch these films to get pumped up.
The violence of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts has actually been indescribably more restrained than in WWII, at least on the US part. Perhaps violent film affect rational people by inspiring them to find less violent ways to gain their ends.

It depends on the type of voilence, films like the saw and hostel just seem to be doing there utmost to be as sick as possible and i belive there is no need for that sort of crap, or you have your James bond type where you may see a little blood but not someones guts spilling out, this type i am ok with.

The whole world is going mad, there's violence portrayed in every way, I dread to think what we are handing on to future generations and if I live long enough I will probably dread future generations too.
