Seems like every 10 minutes, no matter what News program you watch, there will be a bunch of noisy jackals that start debating, and it's always over something stupid...

I want to see the World Events, but I am forced to turn the TV off so I don't have to listen to their noise.

Why has the News turned into the Jerry Springer show?

I know what you mean. I don't mind a good debate, but I get a little annoyed when you can't even hear what is being said because everyone is shouting over one another.

Possibly because the world is very similar to the Jerry Springer show. Its good to be aware that the pundits often have their own agenda - take everything you see on the media questioningly, and you should be OK. Some of it is true, some of it is biased, distorted, opinionated BULL-oney.

Society must be entertained in order to return ratings. True jounalism hasn't been seen on tv since the 50's.
