I'm not minimizing the tragedy of any deaths, of course. But when you compare the heroic effort to save the lives of those six miners, versus the "blah" response to the scores of bodies of executed Iraqi civilians that turn up around Baghdad, you have to wonder where our priorities are.

this is a long one.
my mother works in a paint factory.two years ago they brought the smoking ban in and provided a smoking shelter.my mother asked if she could smoke in her car in the company car park and was told no.she has to clock out to go to the smoking shelter. which is situated in the carpark .so she asked if she could leave her car outside company property and smoke in there, she was told no because she cant leave the property in her 15 min break because she gets paid for it . every thing was fine until they took two sides of the shelter down yesterday due to legislation. she is dreading winter coming as it will be freezing in the ''shelter'' can she legally ask not to be paid for her breaks so that she can leave the site to smoke out in her car?

For the sake of peace.Iran must face military actions immediately. I, was pro-dimplomacy,but I think a Iran is calling our bluff. This is not a poker game,and im tired of reading about Coalition casulties,when clearly,Iran is pulling the strings.

Ok, so according to the police report, Senator Craig was in a public restroom stall in an airport trying to coerce another guy into sexual relations...what I don't understand is, the homosexual population is very low, so how would he be so bold to just try to get some random person in a stall next to him to do something like that??? I mean what the hell, unless you're at a gay bar or something, what are the odds you're going to find a gay partner next to you in a public restroom?

At least I now know that if I'm in a public restroom and someone is tapping their foot and waving their hand underneath, it's a gay signal...but is this something well known in the gay culture? Is this a signal that is fairly understood? I'm so confused.

China has been getting very bad PR (Public Relations) lately; for the past year---really strong now because of recalled products. I am finding myself turning down purchasing products made in China if there is ANY possibility that the materials used would be inferior.
For instance: Had to replace a skillet with a non-stick coating. All that I looked at (at Target) were made in China, with the exception of one pan manufactured in Italy. I elected to instead purchase a Stainless Steele skillet made in China (rathar than a non-stick skillet made in China). The difference is that I trust that the Stainless Steele would not be tainted or inferior.
I also BARELY purchase items from the 99 Cent store, since it seems that a huge % of their merchandise is China made; and so many have notes of "wash hands after handling". Pretty spooky; can't believe this store hasn't stripped it's shelves of these products!

they are both for sport and in both the animal always dies. what's the difference between watching two dogs fight and shooting deer or squirrels. Even though people can eat deer or squirrels people don't eat them to survive they do it for fun.

Distracting America to focus on them. So that America wouldN't Focus Iran. As a Russian Canadian thats what I think. And these Countries are Evil Doers. Especially Iran and North Korea and Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, Pakistan and others are enemy to Russia, Canada and also to America mostly.

The boards were a very strong tool to find out what fellow americans really thought and what was going on in many areas......... yeah there were some nut cases but a really good source of information sharing is gone! I'm not some die hard lefty liberal or anything. It's just that Reps were so hardline against Clinton and Dems after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, I'm wondering if your stance on that has sofened a bit since Reps are being caught left and right doing lewd sexual acts. At least you don't cheat on your wives though....at least not with other women anyway. Ha! Ha! Pervs!!! :D
