Distracting America to focus on them. So that America wouldN't Focus Iran. As a Russian Canadian thats what I think. And these Countries are Evil Doers. Especially Iran and North Korea and Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, Pakistan and others are enemy to Russia, Canada and also to America mostly.

The problem is that nobody really knows what North Korea will do. Like Iran and al Qaeda, there's nobody to talk to there, and you never know who, if anyone, is in charge.

My sense, however, is that North Korea isn't working closely with anyone: they're as weird toward, say, Syria as they are toward us. Thus I think our current strategy of very selective engagement, tempered with confrontation and vigilance, is and will be fairly effective. It's one thing that our current administration has gotten right.

In fact, one of our main concerns is what will happen when and if the current regime in North Korea is overthrown. The nation is exceedingly delicate, and we'll have a first-class humanitarian tragedy on our hands along with God only knows what sort of military situation when all those heavily-armed soldiers get loose looking for food in China. I do believe that we've been quietly discussing this possibility with the Chinese and South Korean governments.
