what happened with the senator? I cant find the clear cut story.

Sen. Craig from Idaho was in the men's restroom at the Minneapolis airport. He was peeking in the stall (where the door has a gap) and ultimately entered the stall next to the man (an undercover cop) He moved his foot into the adjacent stall touching the officers foot, he then utilized some hand gestures under the partition to indicate he would "like to engage in sex". After this initiation, the officer flashed his badge and stated Sen. Craig was under arrest for solicitation.
There is apparently a specific code from ones hands and or feet the are used in restrooms to solicit gay sex. Sen. Craig was supposedly very well versed with the specific use of hands and feet.

He pled guilty, by the way, to disorderly conduct, not to solicitation. My guess is the big hullaballo is that he tried to cover it up, but somehow, the details of the arrest and guilty plea got leaked to the media.
And I understand he has now resigned.
