I don't know what the world is coming to or maybe I just haven't noticed how its been. Today in class we were discussing the Michaels Vicks situation and they're were some people standing up for him saying that fighting dogs its like fighting cocks for entertaintment etc. so Michael Vicks should just be left off the hook. Especially this guy who said "its not like he killed humans, they're just dogs" "No one cared about this stuff before, just because its Michael Vicks they're making a big deal." He just made me so MAD, he kept going with his little comments. I don't even know what to call these kind of people. I don't care if its Michael Vicks or whoever to me its wrong! They should be prosecuted. Its why these dogs are so vicious we can't continue to see this as normal! I want to hear your opinions either if you agree or not. Thanks!

The U.S. invaded Iraq and destroyed Baghdad because they had nuclear weapons. (Nobody has proven it yet). However a B52 just overflew 7 states with 3 nuclear boms inside. How is it that the rest of the world cannot have nuclear weapons but the U.S. is fully armed?

If they disband it, aren't the SAME people just going to volunteer again? It's not a huge country - they don't have an endless supply of people willing to do this job. Thoughts?

I heard it mentioned on the radio a few minutes ago that there are unconfirmed rumours circulating that Pavarotti, the opera singer, is dead.

Has anyone else got any further details?

I just heard on the Channel 4 news that a laboratory in Britain has finished its forensic tests taken from the hotel that Maddie McCann disappeared from.

Their results are so conclusive that the Portuguese police now believe that they are in a position to arrest an individual and charge him/her within the next couple of days.

Does anyone else have any further details about what this evidence is and who may be the culprit?

The sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks is coming up. Since that horrific day I have seen the slogan "Never Forget" all over the place. I think its good that we honor those who we have lost in that tragedy. Where I am lost is how we have apparently forgotten people murdered by the same ---holes before and after September 11, 2001? Today when something does happen 9/11 is plastered all over the incident and patriotism is stepped up. The same happens every holiday and anniversary of this horrific crime. Are we honestly remembering and honoring those who are lost when this tragedy is politicized and commercialized?

There has been 12 fatalies in Toronto highways this past weekend, most of which are caused by reckless driving, excessive speed, unsafe lane change etc. I noticed in the past year people are becoming more and more insane in their driving. Cutting off other cars and big rigs and going at close to double the speed limit. On one hand the police are trying hard to send the message that aggressive driving is unacceptable, while auto makers are selling cars using power and speed as the key selling point. The average sport car has more than 250+ horsepower with some high end ones having more than 300 to 400 horsepower. Is this really needed? And people who buy these cars, do you believe they are not going drive fast. The problems comes when egos meet as drivers who spent $ on their cars refuse to be topped by someone else and you have an instant street race. These auto makers are acting like arms dealer who sell machines of death just so they can maximize their profits.

He said he did not have adequate legal representation-oh wait he is a Senator that doesn't make sense. Then he said he put his right hand under the stall-oh wait it was the left due to the wedding band--This guy cannot make up his mind on anything. What do you think about him now trying to fight his own resignation now that he has retained Michael Vick's attorney? Could he make a decision in the senate or would he constantly change his mind??

Why do people say get the troops out of Iraq?

Do they have a better option on what we should do?

So if we leave we tell Iraq that they win we don't care what they did to the word by Sept 11, Bali twice, London bombings.

They'll end up taking over the world and then what will we do?

Who will take over from George Bush?
