In all honesty, I have a little trouble being open minded when it comes to anything from Rolling Stone. However, when there is a war or anything having to do with the military, parts, equipment and anything else they require has to come from somewhere. The companies and the people that make them deserve to be paid. They also have to make a profit to continue to grow and be prosperous. People are complaining about all the money being made on this war. If those complaining had any idea where their 401 K's and other retirement funds were being invested by the companies handling them, they too might see that they are also "profiting" from the war.

One group who has profited is composed of anyone who is working to supply all the materials need to conduct the war. That means hundreds of thousands of common ordinary factory workers. Taxpayers are always being swindled by congress everyday and it has nothing to do with the war; just look at their pork barrel spending. If you want to stop it, support The Fair Tax.

The national debt has grown by about 4 Trillion dollars since the war started. This money went somewhere and last time I looked it wasn't in my wallet.

The government has borrowed hundreds of billions of dollars from our children to pay for the war and you bet that a lot of it ended up in the Bushes, Cheyneys and other's bank accounts.

Of course we are being taken for fools. But unfortunately most(Not all) Americans have forgotten how to fight & protest against injustices. They too busy worrying about the adventures of Paris Hilton & Lindsay Lohan to care about how we are being taken advantage of. They now accept everything the government does & twiddle their thumbs while the politicians take adavantage of the people.
