The sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks is coming up. Since that horrific day I have seen the slogan "Never Forget" all over the place. I think its good that we honor those who we have lost in that tragedy. Where I am lost is how we have apparently forgotten people murdered by the same ---holes before and after September 11, 2001? Today when something does happen 9/11 is plastered all over the incident and patriotism is stepped up. The same happens every holiday and anniversary of this horrific crime. Are we honestly remembering and honoring those who are lost when this tragedy is politicized and commercialized?

I have to agree with you, and for anyone thinking that 9/11 has not been comercialized, I point you to the millions of tacky "New 9/11 evidence" articles designed to sell issues of crappy magazines. Millions of dollars in bumper stickers, and tee shirts where the procedes did NOT go to the families or some other charity, and 2 feature length motion pictures. If we in America cant make a dime off it, and politicians cant use it to bolster their careers in some way, it's obviously not worth mentioning.

I have yet to see the incident commercialized. That is to say, we are not have 9/11 sales.

The incident has been politicized , but I believe that for the majority of us, the observance of the day each year is not. It is simply a time to remember the victims. The political stuff tends to come during the days between each anniversary. Yes, we are honestly remembering and honoring the victims as well as reflecting on the significance of the events of that day and the days following it.
