Even if they are found guilty of something, they won't admit it. In the US, the first thing ANY lawyer will tell you is to plead "not guilty" and don't say anything. Gone are the days when people admit they did wrong and take the consequences head on. Now, everyone's got an excuse.
I still pray that little Madeleine will be found alive. I know, it's a long shot... :(

Hi Just me, I think if the case is solved, the regular supporters, not going to name names, will put their hands up and say fair go. Most regulars here are normal, civilised intelligent and with a good sense of fair play. Can't answer for the odd one or two who are just on the band wagon.

Hi Justme.
I've said it before and I will say it again. Whatever the sad conclusion of this sorry mess is......I REALLY REALLY hope that, however we feel about it, there will be no cat-calling or told-you-so's etc etc on here.
There are no points to be scored on anybody's side except Madeleine's.
In the light of 'forensic evidence' that nobody knows about yet......we'll have to wait and see.
If, however......the whole lot go scot-free.........then show me a bazooka.....

When the Madeleine case is solved...i don't intend to go missing...Why on earth should i???
I'd love to watch all the accusers who cruelly insinutated that Gerry McCann harmed his baby daughter eat dish after dish of humble pie.

I think everyone wants this case solved whether they are McCann supporters or not....the only difference with the McCann supporters is that they believe in innocent till proven guilty. Its a more basic right than freedom of speech.

I swore that I wouldn't get involved in the circus this has become because it is all so very sad but I totally agree with Nusha. Everyone seems to have lost sight of our basic right to be considered innocent till proven -in a court of law,not a court of public opinion - guilty.
Isn't losing a child bad enough punishment for having been a bit too trusting and careless(if in fact they were)? Leave these poor people alone.

I don't know will have to wait to see the outcome I guess. So much speculation isn't there and should never have happened in first place but unfortunately none of us can turn back time. Its all very very sad.

If they are guilty, then they must face the consequences of their actions. I am content for the police and the courts to deal with any wrongdoing.
Kamran - you might expect an apology, but it won't be coming from me. Even if they are guilty of murdering their daughter, selling her, accidentally killing her, hiding her for insurance, etc etc
