The boards were a very strong tool to find out what fellow americans really thought and what was going on in many areas......... yeah there were some nut cases but a really good source of information sharing is gone! Why cant we have it back is Yahoo scared of big brother or did they get sued because of wackos!

No. It was an infestation of trolls who engaged in flame wars which trampled on the rights of others. Yahoo is a private company. They don't even have to offer this "Answers" system either.
