I would have to say that our heroic effort to save the miners was very small in comparison to the enormous amount of troops we have in Iraq. The blah response comes from the Iraqi civilians not being our own. Don't get me wrong, it is horrible what is happening to Iraqi citizens but there is little that US citizens living here can do about that. We have troops there doing what they can and US citizens here have unite to do what we can to take care of our own. When tragedy hits close to home people unite.

I'm sure the 6 miners' bodies recieved a blah response on Al Jazeera television. Our media is like an inverted telescope that makes local events huge, and those far away very tiny. Problem is, the earth is getting smaller, and one day we will wake up and realize we are all the same size.

I would normally say no, but you know think of the thousand of babies and people that got killed on 9-11. I am sorry I was never prejudiced but after that we here in the USA have to really wonder who we can trust. I now feel more sorry for the people here in the USA than anywhere else. That day has changed many people's minds about different cultures, but I understand why because it has changed mine. Like I said I have never been against anyone or disliked anyone., but that tragedy has changed my feelings... They were all innocent people too and not only were thousands killed but look how many families are without moms and dads or brothers and sisters or sons and daughters because of that. There lives have been destroyed forever. I feel that you really can't blame people and say they are ignorant because they feel the way they do today in the USA. I know they say the people from that country are not all bad and you can't blame them all but DO WE REALLY KNOW WHO WE CAN TRUST? No we don't.

No of course they're not. Nationality and ethnicity are irrelevant - a human life is a human life. Why should another nationality be placed as superior, and more valued than an other?
I don't understand. Why would treating people equally be a bad thing?

American priorities are for our American citizens, like they should be. I'm not minimizing the tragedy of executed civilians in Iraq either.

in the 1st place, u shouldn't present ur opinion in this way, comparing nationalities and ethnicitites, and indirectly/ purposely religions. Those answerers engaging in the dogfight shouldn't judge this question on its face value. DONOT drag our ONLY world - the planet EARTH into deeper chaos. P L E A S E !

How can you compare men working in a mine in the United States to people living in a war zone? How can we possibly know whose bullets killed who? Last time I looked, we werent the only ones fighting over there.

what happens now is disgusting...
they die and nooobody cares...
and the people talking about the moms and families of 9/11 victims..at least they have support and help..they are not gonna die of hunger..
The iraqi people didn't want americans in their country, i is funny how the media claims the opposite....all the lives of those tens of thousands are hanged in Bush's neck, all this did not occur until te american government greed for oil reached its highest gross level.

The half trillion dollars per year America has spent in Iraq and the thousands of American lives lost in Iraq should answer this question for you.
