That was not in the U.S. look at the things that are happening, like for example yesterday at VA Tech, we still need to protect our country, that guy was an immigrant here on a visa and quite disturbed. I am not saying that everyone that is a immigrant is like that, Im just saying that if we are still at war, then I think our borders need to be shut down until we are out of Iraq and our country is "safe".. what do you think?

Waco. Collumbine. Now Virginia Tech happened almost exactly on the same day. Coincidence or some other reason?

im a sophomore in high school and im terrified to go back to class, there was a bomb threat last month at my school .and now everyone's freaking about the Virginia tech shooting. A lot of my friends are gonna stay home this week. How could the governemnt let so many shootings happen? i mean school is already hellish enough as it is without fearing someone will blow your brains out. i was too young to remember columbine but V-tech has definetly made an impact.

what are they gonna do to make schools safer?

and such terrorism every day in our TV news, newspapers and in the Video Games that the young people are constantly playing all the time?

Add this to the fact that America is the Worlds largest producer of Arms and munitions and you get exactly what we are seeing now in this otherwise great country of ours!

We have become killers because whether you want to believe it or not - We tolerate killing! Look at what we are doing in Iraq and you will see it every day!

Why pay for bulletproof vests, exotic weaponry, advanced training, and cool vehicles if they don't do anything?

At Virginia Tech, as could be anywhere, there could have been more gunmen, firearms, etc. That's WHY special forces are deployed. Anybody can stand around and wait until the carnage is over.

Should SWAT teams be disbanded? Retrained?

This is from FOX news: "Gun crime is rare in Britain, and handguns are completely illegal. The ban is so strictly enforced that Britain's Olympic pistol shooting team is barred from practicing in its own country.

Britain's 46 homicides involving firearms was the lowest total since the late 1980s. New York City, with 8 million people compared to 53 million in England and Wales, recorded at least 579 homicides last year." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,266509,00.html

Doesn't this prove that you're living in complete denial and don't have a single leg to stand on? If it doesn't, please provide your proof that everyone having a gun would result in fewer homicides and also prove why banning guns wouldn't work, they're banned in the UK and it works there. Thanks.

The number 23 movie makes me wonder over this, the shooter was 23 years old. If you subtract 1-33 is 32 backwards is 23. The one being himself, if so I think the number 23 is a horrible number

When 9/11 occured, people burned mosques and beat up people of Indian descent because they were wearing turbans. Do you think that any members of the community will stupidly lash out at random people of Asian descent now that the V Tech killer has been identified as Korean?

I don't. Just like the old west, people get terrified by one armed person.

The guy who did the shooting was foreign and maybe was an agent of Bin Ladens.

Question is aimed at UK people but I'm interested in anybody's response - although I think you Americans will find the question a bit absurd....

And it has to be a working, functioning, deadly gun please, seen in real life at close quarters, and obviously not held by police or armed forces... I hope you know what I'm getting at. Please no air rifles, replicas, or an uzi held by a police officer at Buckingham Palace etc. I hope you agree that would be a meaningless survey...

Please give me your country in your answer....

I think somebody such as the president of the university needs to be severly punished such as being fired.

As far as the coward shooter, I think its too bad that they didn't get to him before he killed himself. Its too bad he couldn't have spent his life rotting in jail.

I think we all need to pray for the families that are going through so much right now and will be for a long time to come.

I know that many people after the VT massacure want to ban weapons, but criminals will always get weapons so would it not be better to let students that have concealed carry weapon permits be allowed to carry a firearm on there person If some of the students at VT were armed they could of fought back and maybe saved many lifes what do you think
