wouldn't that be easier? I could like, garuantee you that half of the victims would've survived/ not gotten injured.

oh, and another question, would you consider the shootings at 7:15 and the one around 10 two shootings or just one?

The school president ridded the school of armed security guards and told the concealed carry license holders that they would be expelled if they exercised their 2nd Amendment right.

He then declared a "gun free zone" aka (shoot the sitting ducks zone).

Should the man be charged with criminal neglect for failing to provide adquate safety to his students?

I mean he must have had a disturbing life or at least disturbing thoughts. I don't think anyone in their sane mine would think of some of the things he wrote about for his class. I do feel kind of bad that he felt it was something he needed to do...I am not saying this to defend him or anything. What he did was inhumane and I won't forget but just..i don't know Any thoughts?

I really never under stood Americans with this freedom crap they spit back at people all the time “its my Constitutional right to own a gun” crap!!! , the constitution was written in 1700’s when the British was threatening them, and they was defending there land from British and taking the land from the Indians.

it's now 2007

In 1999, there were 28,874 gun-related deaths in the United States - over 80 deaths every day and i am 100% sure that’s wrong??

And Americans still defending the gun, saying its my constitutional right and all Americans spit back this crap about being free , you’re all being f**king brain washed, putting it nicely :-)

Maybe you’re all going through you’re dark age or something???.

After all, America is a young country and one day you might grow out of it. :-)

So much sympathy and support over the loss of life @ VT,

But this is nothing compared to the violent loss of life around the developing world (some of which, caused indirectly by US involvement).

USAians, why is it that you are so moved by loss of life when it is american life (as compared to non-US lives)

Isn't the value of a US life just as precious as a non-US life??

The young man that killed 33 people was US/Korean. The Us and Korea are comming close to a show-down over nukes.
Will this mass murder effect political views???
Just a question...

I think the Virginia Tech Massacre was sooo horrible. If you read all the cases and everything that had happened before hand, the authorities should have seen it coming. It is sooo horrible and anytime I watch the news, I want to cry.

Any input or opinions??

Cho Seung Hui was a South Korean.
Yes, I know that for fact.
He has commited a serious crime.
My prayers are with those victims and their families.
But would people feel any different about Koreans, now?
My girlfriend is korean and one of my best friend is too.
My friend was feeling uncomfortable and sad about the event today, but his girlfriend assured him that it's not his fault.

Should we feel the Koreans are bad now?
I actually feel bad for them.
I love these guys, and it's just one guy's fault.
I hope no one feels different about the Koreans now.
What are your thoughts?

AUSTIN, Texas - Campus threats forced lock-downs and evacuations at universities and grade schools in seven states on Tuesday, a day after a Virginia Tech student's shooting rampage killed 33 people.

One threat in Louisiana directly mentioned the massacre in Virginia, while others were reports of suspicious activity in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota and Michigan.

I think society labels the people who do these things as evil, subhuman, ect. I suspect more is going on - the people who do these things are different from the mainstream and have been labelled geeks and losers and so on. They get terribly upset, put their hands on a gun, and express their hatred. Of course they are TOTALLY wrong to do this. But I think that the thinking in society that puts a high premium on good looks, sporting ability, confidence, and style, and labels outsiders 'geeks', 'nerds' and similar humiliating labels has a role and responsibility in helping to generating the passion and anger wich is then, sometimes, so tragically expressed .

I mean, The Press asked the gun clerk why he sold him a glock 19(the gun used) And he said that Cho looked like a "clean cut college kid". So why are a bunch of people I know saying "He should not have been able to buy a gun" - what ever happened to the right to bear arms? I'd like to think that I could buy a firearm and i look like a "clean cut college kid". (most of the time anyway)
