Don't you dare try to belittle people's mourning. Innocent people were killed. Those were young lives. They were someone's brother, sister or child and they were killed by an individual who couldn't see that. This massacre happened right here and we are greatly affected by that. The killer obviously had problems and something could have been done to help him and prevent the loss of life. Can you imagine knowing that you brother, sister, child, or parent would never come home again because of senseless violence? Imagine not being able to see a loved one again, to hold them, and to show how much you love them because they will never come back.

Life is life and is equall no matter what. The reason why we pay attention to the VT shooting is that they were killed at home in the US, in school. In countries across the world terrible events happen all the time and it is sad it is devastating but we cant cover all of the news. We can only do so much you think that all those stories could actually make the news for days, that would require us to watch news 24/7 and that prob wouldn't cut it. So although many people lose their lives every second we cant watch it all. School shootings are terrible and what happen that day is indescribable but it deserves the attention. You shouldn't hate on a county in which you are provided so much freedom. Its one thing to not agree with everything our government decides to do, but to disrespect those people who lost their lives like that, its just wrong.... I'm sorry for you, something must be wrong.. Bless our troops for fighting for a country and fighting for the safty of each one of us, even if ignorant people don't appreciate the country they live in.

So you think bashing the people that lost their lives is a 'Turkey shoot"?
My friend, I can't wait to be at the gate of heaven when you arrive and ask where it is you go to! There will be many like you there and you will have lot's of company. I myself am glad to be an American, I'm glad I'm a Christian, because for the heathens it will be death in the fires of He!!........

Yes, so let's mourn all loss of human life, including the students at Virginia Tech, who attended school two hours from where I do. My friends knew some of the victims.
It's not a turkey shoot, you a*shole. Go back to the festering hole you came from, and stop using the tragedy to bash U.S. attention to the shooting.

Excuse me sir but please do not refer to the tragedy at Virginia Tech as a turkey shoot. These were human beings who lost their life. Any life that is lost in a violent way is tragic
regardless of where they live.

"Turkey shoot" is inordinately offensive, don't you think???
To answer your question, yes, the value of EVERY life is precious. We just focus more on this right now because it's in our own backyard. The US does more than anyone to help others around the world.

Ease up people, this person is entitled to ask their very relevant question without being abused.
If you all feel the need to lash out at someone, then lash out at the law enforcement officers who did NOTHING when they knew that someone was going around shooting people for the fun of it.
