I'm a college student too, and I'm not really worried about it. This kind of thing doesn't happen that often.

Now, I really DOUBT your school will be shot up. If anyone exhibits extreme behavior, watch out. In the case that you see any suspicious behavior, report it and keep a lookout. See, if you're in like high school or lower, your school is not as likely to have a school shooting. Of course, Columbine was a different matter. Columbine was because the kids were mistreated. They were like... bully fodder, you could call it. Those who are not popular are mistreated and bullied. Therefore, those who are antisocial and aggressive, are the more likely candidates who will be a school shooter. Of course, not every antisocial and aggressie kid will be a school shooter.

But keep a lookout. In middle school, you have much less of a chance of having a school shooting than high school and college. Of course, that doesn't mean it won't happen. In middle school, popularity becomes more important to the kids. As time passes by, popularity will become more important to the newer generations. And in high school, popularity is sacred, almost. Of course, popularity isn't the only factor. The person's past is also a contributing factor. But...

Don't worry, keep safe.

It is truly sad that this young man had to commit this terrible act. It was obviously pre-meditated according to the long note he left behind. Maybe he was just pushed over the edge one too many times. And why did he pick the engineering building? It is sad for everyone. We must learn to better understand and appreciate each other so things like this don't happen again. But the sad thing is it probably will. Peace to all.

well thats a good question. Let me say this. Even now their is somebody out their who is going to look at what happened and want to take their frustration or problems out on other people in horrific ways. Its a sad fact but and i dont think we will ever see a clear solution to the problem. Every now and then its going to happen. Its just the matter of listening and if you may hear someone say in your class that their going to kill someone dont t and i repeat dont take it lightly. have it reported even if u dont want to give your name. I believe the only way we can stop this is to have tight well trained armed security at schools that check every student that comes on with detectors from head to toe. And if someone finds a way around all this its a matter of whether we catch him or not.

You probably should be aware of your surroundings at all times, but don't be afraid. People who are afraid are the ones who end up hurt or dead if something like that happened, because they aren't thinking clearly.

The chances of a shooting at your school are very slim. But, if you know of anyone who starts acting abnormal or has started making threats or stuff, talk to your counselor, teacher or other authority.

You can't spend your life being afraid, or you'll end up hiding out at home and miss the most wonderful experiences that life has to offer. If this continues to bother you, maybe you should talk to your parents, counselor or some adult you trust. Do not spend your life being afraid - it's not worth it.

You are more likely to be affected by a drunk driver than have your school hit. Don't put it off, but you can feel free in the thought that it was only a single twisted individual and the majority of us have our faculties intact and would not consider performing such a act upon others.

There is nothing you should worry about if you have campus security they will be tight on campus and to make sure every student and faculty member is safe
1 thing you need to look for
observe your surroundings if you notice any one suspicious report it ASAP do not take any chances.
