and such terrorism every day in our TV news, newspapers and in the Video Games that the young people are constantly playing all the time?

Add this to the fact that America is the Worlds largest producer of Arms and munitions and you get exactly what we are seeing now in this otherwise great country of ours!

We have become killers because whether you want to believe it or not - We tolerate killing! Look at what we are doing in Iraq and you will see it every day!

Yes. You're correct.

On top of that, our schools and colleges teach alienation instead of tolerance and collegiality.

I respectfully disagree. Tolerate is not the right term. Have you ever been to Africa? Beirut? War? Saved a person's life? Have you ever had to take a life? I am willing to wager you have never been in the military nor been put in a life or death situation where you had to defend yourself. You and everyone else can change the channel at will, read a publication of your choice, and play video games that are not violent. As for Iraq, it's better to fight them there than here. Speak for yourself and not for other people. "We" are not killers.
Eg, There are a lot of police shows and not a lot of people volunteering to be police officers. There are a lot of shows about doctors and a lot of people becoming doctors.
The fact that this guy in Virginia went on a rampage has nothing to do with any of the above. It is a question of choice.

It is the media that glorifies to carnage for the purposes of making money. As for the video games, violence has always been around just in different formats.

Although I can follow your logic, some of your facts are not quite correct. While it is true that the media glorify violence, and video games do enhance it, and I have to agree with that. America is not the biggest gun producing country in the world. Italy per capita, has more gun makers, as does Turkey and several of the Arab countries. The latter have it as a cottage industry. We do not tolerate killing, however the liberals in the country, indicate that we should all be sheep, and expect the police to protect us, and not we ourselves.

Last time I checked I had not killed anyone personally nor condoned the killing of any innocent people. Yes, there is a war going on. Yes, we see it on tv. But that is choice. to watch the war, to play the video games, to read the newspapers - all choices. I know we should outlaw choices and therefore no one would see all the senseless killing and therefore no one would kill. Brilliant!

Don't blame society because one person is an idiot. I was raised around video games, and guns in our home, and I never thought of using a gun to hurt someone else. Back in my parents days every single movie was a western, and every one of those movies several people were shot, but their generation wasn't filled with nutjobs who shot up the schools. The problem is that people know they can be "Famous" if they kill a bunch of people. They are social outcasts that no one has ever paid attention to,and this is their chance to be famous.

Um, the guy who did the shooting is from South Korea. This is NORMAL in South Korea when a woman dumps a guy and spits in his face. They kill the women there all the time. This is nothing new for them.

This is not a US predicated crime. It is a US predicated victim setup. If the students had been allowed to be armed, he would not have made it out of the dorms alive and everyone else would still be alive right now. But by denying the students the basic rights to defend themselves from harm, they were made into walking victims, and so died without even being able to fend for themselves.

True. This event was horrible and the first of it's kind that we know about, but it is kind of funny how they are calling it the worst U.S. shooting ever.
