Wow where do you come up with these questions. That is a scary thought. why would this tragedy make the gas prices higher?? I really don't think you have put to much thought into this question. Economy makes the gas price go up higher-demand and the need for gas is what makes price go up higher. Not some troubled person going on a shooting spree. Thank about what you are asking before you do put it on yahoo answers.

Gas prices are going to get higher regardless. The massacre at VA Tech has nothing to do with it.

I hope not, we are already at 3.00 bucks a gallon I know this cheap comapred to some places but considering it was before 1.09 I hope it doesn't go any higher

It wouldn't surprise me one bit (even though they are completely unrelated). Any time anything happens gas prices go up.

Absolutely.

Several of the killed and injured were prominent engineers who were on the verge of solving the energy problems of the world.

That's why it is a bad thing to treat tragic situations like this in a cynical, disparaging manner.
