I have some small flowers growing indoors and while I was taking care of them today, I noticed a tiny red bug on one of the leaves. I was wondering, is this bug harmful to my flowers or should I leave it there? Also, my flowers shouldn't have bugs since they're indoor flowers...

Why does a kettle get louder and louder as it gets hotter and hotter, and then right as you turn off the stove it gets quiet right away?

do they use the same truck througout their entire route? I mean, how can they possiby fit so much trash into that truck? I know they compact it, but they can't possibly use one truck for the whole route. Do they go back to the plant and empty?

I am possibly moving within a month and its the first time I'll be out of my parents house. My head is already spinning with all of the details and what I might forget to pack. Also, what can I get rid of and what things should I buy to be on my own? Are there any websites with good checklists for these kind of things?

Hi, I live in a 3bed terraced house in Warwickshire, U.K. My next door neighbour died just before xmas and his house has been empty since then. The other side of his house is a private members club which there are plans to demolish and build new houses on the site. I have now heard that the developers are going to buy the empty house next door and demo it for more land. As it is actually attached to my house I was wondering how much disruption this will cause and if anyone has had this happen to them and how they found it. I am hoping that if this plan does happen I may possibly be able to persuade the developers to allow me pedestrian access down the side of my (then) end of terrace as this would be great.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

I’ve been told that you should line up the direction of spray with that dot of paint, but don't know why.

everyday for a set time. Is there a timer available that I can install that will run the pump only on certain days? My pool gets very little use and there is no need to run the pump everyday. If I could run it every-other-day, that would work and conserve energy.

We are moving into a house with central air and want to be as efficient and economical as possible with the air. I am not sure if we should turn it down when not at home or all the way off.

The gnats in my kitchen are driving me crazy. I keep the kitchen spotless and all fruit is kept in the fridge. I've tried bleach, pinesol, and other household cleaners/chemicals. Sometimes they'll go away for a night, but are back by the next morning. Any advice would help.

I have some small chilli plants, about 4 inches tall. I want to send them via post but don't know how to wrap them. Any ideas? I don't want them drying out or being damaged, or stamped on by that nasty Royal mail man who seems to be waiting for my parcels! I will be posting within the UK. Thanks!

I went into my kitchen and set my phone on the counter next to the fridge and grabbed a spoon out of the silverware basket we have on the counter. as I reached for a spoon across the counter I noticed a little dark grey bug no bigger than a 3or 4 yr. old's pinky nail it was really, really, really fastly scampering up the side of the fridge. it wasn't the usual way you see a spider walk it was kinda, like, almost actually scampering up ;the fridge. So I just thought it was a little bug and leaned in to get that spoon across the counter. as i leaned in my face met very close to the fridge and i noticed it had 8 legs! it was a spider!! It was kinda the body shape of a widdow in how the head is tiny and the butt is huge and round, but in this spider the head was tiny and the butt WAS big yes, but very flat like a tick's body is flat. the coloration is dark grey and has only one long light grey stripe going accross its back. i need to know what kind of spider ppl think it is & provided pics.

So many bedsheet makers emphasize how their fitted sheets have extra-deep pockets to fit taller mattresses (like pillow-top mattresses). Yet no one seems to make the flat sheets larger, so few of them can be tucked in on the sides. Any suggestions for sheet brands that make generous top (flat) sheets so I can tuck the sheet sides in? I don't even have a pillow-top mattress!

I'm having an argument with my wife, and we decided that YA would settle it by majority.

How often do you clean your gas grill? I mean take the grates to a sink and scrub them with brillo. My wife wants to do this after each use. I just want to scrub it with a wire brush and burn it after each use for about 10 minutes. Anyway......What do you do?
