I have trouble lighting a fire in an old stone fireplace, it often doesn't catch, or else burns out quickly leaving half charred wood and no flame....I don't want to use chemical products....

Last night when i went for a shower, i noticed there was water spurting out the tube connecting the water from the tap to the shower head and it wasn't just a trickle, it has never happened before and i tried to tighten it up as that seems to be the problem but it wouldn't secure in place, should i get the plumber in or can i sort this myself?? We have a shower curtain so i don't have to clean up puddles of water later.

plastering on the outside of my house so we have lost the signal,so when they go this evening i need to know weather or not it is going to be easy to find the signal,is it a case of pointing the dish in the correct direction and the signal will pick up or am i going have problems

cant remember what plant is called(fairly sure'upside-down'is in its name)ill try to describe,plant incase there are any house plant experts reading this!its like a mini tree,the trunk is light brown and is round looking at bottom main trunk is about 2" thick the leaves are very long and thin and wavy looking,and grow downward to almost bottom of trunk.id say my plant is almost 1& half foot tall.
It always looks half dead any tips?

I'm near my wits' end trying to find a fridge to fit into a space 81cm high and 51 cm wide. It looks like a space about the size of a fridge, but fridges just don't seem to come that short (apart from tiny beer fridges). I live in Minnesota and put down Viroro Ultra Turf turf builder fertilizer with weed stop (30-0-4) at the recommended strength about two weeks ago. My wife, not realizing I had already fertilized, sprayed the entire lawn with Spectracide Weed & Feed Lawn Spray Concentrate about a week ago. My lawn in now turning kind of grey green/and brown in some places. I am thinking that it is way over fertilized and dying. Anything I can do to counter the effect! Will excessive watering help?

This sounds kind of strange though.They said I should receive the certificate in about 4 or 5 days.Has anyone had this happen to them also?and is it for real?I know I shouldnt fall for anything like this.But one thing I did tell them was that Im not giving my information or credit card info.out.She said no credit card is needed.Sounds eerie huh?

Is there some sort of heat proof mat or something that is sold to prevent this from happening? Please help. Ants are raiding my driveway and soon I think they are going to find a way inside. I am a new homeowner so I've never had to deal with this problem before. What are some ways I can get rid of the ants? I'm not seeing any ant mounds unfortunately, they just seem to be coming out of the grass and walking in straight lines across my driveway.

We have an almost new kitchen table. It's one of those modern, metal tables with the thick glass top. The chairs are metal too with a really comfy cushion. (The plastic is still on them so, they have no stains.) How much do you think we'll get for it if we sell it? We just bought a new house and it doesn't go with anything.
