Yes. And be very careful with any small children and pets. The cicadas will more than likely fly off with them, given the chance.

I once saw a cicada fly into a plate of cheese fries. I had to throw it anway and get another.

They come out every 13-17 years to mate. they feed on the roots of trees. They will not eat your paint ,harm people or animals. Dogs like to eat them usually.

Is this your first experience with them? They have been doing this for years and will do it for years to come. No big deal except they are very noisy.
