Should it just be thrown in the trash or is there a better way to get rid of it?

Also, if you know what do with a CFL -- which contains mercury -- that would be good information, as well.

Thank you :)

I know this is a simple question, but does your electric bill include gas/oil, heat, and light, or just one of those? Thank you for answering my easy question...I just wanna make sure.

Help! My couch is too big for Manhattan! I had a hard time getting into my apartment. I'm going to be moving soon and someone told me there is a furniture service where they can take apart your couch and re-assemble it in your new apartment. Has anyone heard of it? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm surveying home heating oil delivery companies to see when they decide to reset the prices for the following year. This refers to fixed and capped pricing features that attract customers.

Is this done in March or July usually? Spring or Summer?

I've asked this question in the pets forum and thought I would try here as well. I have pets and would like to know what people think of this vacuum.

I'm shopping for China Dinnerware and Cutlery. Here where I live, in Egypt, I found beautiful ones! There were Turkish ones and German ones, and the price difference was outrageous!!! The German things were double and sometimes even tripple the price!
I know that generally German things are considered the best. But is the price difference really worth it?? Has anybody tried Turkish Cutlery?

Thanks :)

Okay, I have an older house and there are mice all of a sudden. Quite a few. They're some in my room. NO FOOD is in here but I do have Cockatiel Seed for my bird, Sunny. They're like nesting behind my computer desk where all my wires are and there's board to keep them off the floor, so I can't get to it. Mouse traps aren't working, too light for it to snap. I don't want to move Sunny because that's not fair to her but she's getting scared by them and they're pretty brave. They'll come out in mid day and right in front of me and one actually jumped at me. I feel so dirty but I'm a clean person. These freaking mice need to go and I need ideas on how to knock them out without poison, because they die where I don't know where they are or can't get to. HELP ME!!

I am currently renting a cottage in Traverse City for 4 months because of an internship I received in the area. Yesterday, my pipes froze and I have no water and dont know how that is going to change. I am looking in to finding another place to live for the remaining 3 months I am here. I have been offered one place, for a little less than I am paying now, however it is smaller and doesnt have a stove, or oven to cook with. My question is, do I try and make the landlord of the place I am in now fix the pipes, or try to find me another place, etc., or do I move to a place without those amenities and use a Georg Foreman or something for all my cooking needs? I guess I dont really know what I'm asking, but I need help.

They're thinner than what i would class as 'fishing' maggots - a dark yellowy colour with a darker head area. There are no flies around, no rotting food or nasty smells. I'm confused! Do you think i have a problem somewhere or is it common to find the odd one or two now and again?

I bought a house over a year ago and after having researched various property sites I suspect that the house was grossly overvalued.
The vendor worked for the Estate Agents that marketed the house. The survey I commissioned, after a cursory inspection not worth the paper it was written on,just agreed!
Can I complain?

I touch them upstaits and they are cold, But in the ground floor it's pretty warm. I put the thermostat all the way up and it still does not help.

I tried everything. I bought an electronic mouse trap putting peanut butter, cheese, and meat into it. It won't go in there. I have sticky mouse traps all over the place. I bought packs of poisonous food. It won't eat them. I even rolled the poison into cheese; the mouse ate some but it still runs around.

How do I get rid of it? I'm afraid it could get bacteria or some virus into the home.
