I have a hand carved hardwood piece of furniture which I bought some 3 years ago. Recently there has been a tapping noise coming from the 'drum' and despite removing drawers and really scrutinising the furniture I cannot see where this could be coming from. No signs of damage or infestation - yuk! Does anyone have any clues? I thought at first it may be the wood contracting but the noise is too regular for that to be the case. Help!!!

I have a braided ficus tree (I believe its a ficus alii, but I'm not sure). Five months ago, I moved it from my home to my office. As expected, it lost a large number of leaves. New growth has started but most of the leaves now have brown patches ringed in very thing yellow "halos." The new growth is turning brown and shriveling. I can't see any bugs on it and have tried permethrin. I have had this tree for years and I love it. Please help!!!

I have an office trailer with aluminum siding that has rust stains from the metal roof all along the sides. I am having a hard time removing it. Tried mariatic acid, simple green, and good hard scrubbing with not much luck. Any ideas?

Really just looking for people who have them to give me their opinion on how good/bad/indifferent they are. The idea of one seems very good, but never having had one I'm unsure about them.

Okay, so I hear all the time about people that save lots and lots of money with on-line coupons etc. i saw a woman the other day at the market with a shopping cart full and after turning in her coupons her bill came to $30. I am spending at least $700 a month on groceries and household supplies for a family of four? Any advice. BTW-- I already use the weekly coupons in the paper.

Not the actual burner but the dish under the burner? I've tried cleaning the **** out of it but nothing seems to work. Target? Grocery store? Are there standard sizes or do I have to whip out a ruler?

We have an older farmhouse, basement is faced off with cement. Snakes still get in the basement and occasionally into the first floor. Very annoying, especially for my wife.
We are surrounded by farmland and orchard, and have used SnakeStopper in the past with a fair degree of success, but our goal is to eliminate them especially from the house. Any help would be appreciated.

I am in the process of buying a home. I have already realized one of my biggest problems will be combating ants in my new home. They are called pavement ants. I do not have the money to invest in professional pest control, therefore what is some DIY solutions to getting rid of ants for as long as possible?

I know that I can buy those little ant traps, but there has to be something out there that is more useful.

The seat is showing signs of aging due to weather exposure, want to treat it but still keep the grip that the raw wood has so the kids do not slide right off it. Also considering that the covering must not stain clothes, so cresote might be out, and varnish to slippery. T.I.A.
