No, thank God, U need to get a garlic bulb (59cents) and cut it up fine and put in window seals, under fridge, corners and every bug
will go back underground.
100 percent that this works.
Avon SSS spray will also keep them away along with mosquitoes,Splitz around windows and house.

You most likely have Palmetto bugs, also known as Waterbugs or Surinam Cockroaches. They are attracted to the moisture in your kitchen. It is not a sign of uncleanliness but you should thoroughly wash down where you see them because they have a chemical on their feet which they lay down so more of their species can follow them-sort of like runway lights on an airstrip. They can be tough to get rid of if you live in the south. You can try sticky traps, the kind they sell to catch mice. They work well for random capture and you can try putting a tiny ball of peanut butter in the middle of the trap. (easier said than done) You can also try putting down a line of Borax powder around and across their path. You can get Borax in the hardware store or online. I believe it is poisonous. Finally, you need to call in a professional exterminator, perhaps more than once. Meanwhile, check to see if you have any leaks under the sink and try to dry out any damp spots in your house. Good luck. These bugs are truly disgusting.

Yes. But its a bit like the light in the Fridge. When the door is shut how do you know that the light goes off. Similarly with the beetles. You never see them, but you know that they come out at night!

Are they big? If so, they could be cockroaches, and you'd need to get environmental health in.
