Someone told me I shouldn't burn pine firewood in my house. Why is that? I'm cutting up a bunch of (already) fallen trees from the forest near my place, and there are a few nice, big pines that would make for a lot of logs.

OK, the problem is my toilet will not flush all the way down. I have to flush it like 4 times to get it all the way down. It starts to flush but only goes like halfway every time. It's really aggravating. It's almost like you have to get the perfect flush in order to get it down! Can anyone help me?

How can this be done without harming them? Our neigbors cats are constantly in our yard, on our driveway, on our deck etc. They are very annoying and sneaky.

With the recent warm weather and lack of ice and snow in my area this winter, I have a feeling there will be tons of ladybugs this year. What's the best way to get rid of them?

Isn't a net profit of 10% enough? Why are big companies only catering to shareholders? Are they? I am a shareholder and have never endorsed gas companies to increase gas prices at the pumps for Americans.

just moved into a very small town, only house available at the time. The neighbors need help...but I'm guessing I have to do the work. Here goes...they have 3 dogs, 2 in front yard, chained up and one in side yard next to my house, chained up. First problem is barking all the time. Second problem is they do not clean up after their animals. It is winter and we can still smell it. In the summer time we will have to deal with fleas and ticks. The fence line dividing our property is like chicken wire. Is there any plants that repeal fles and ticks and offers enough aroma to offset the smell. Can't move yet, so that's not an option. We live in missouri

We are thinking about moving to a townhouse, but we've never had a patio on the first floor. The new place appears to have a certain kind of screen that should block out a lot of the dirt that would enter from the outside into the screen,, but i am thinking that i would remove it because you can't see through it and i like a regular see through screen. Dirt is sure to get in but i would just sweep, but is it really that bad of a problem?

Hey guys, got a question for you. I am thinking of signing a lease to a new apartment and I am worried about the noise level. the apartment is a loft, and the designated bedroom "nook" shares a wall with the next door unit's bathroom, the toilet is on the same wall and everything. I am worried that at night I will hear the toilet flushing and everything. When I talked to the super about it, he said each unit is insulated above code. I am in California, so what does that mean? Do you think I'll hear anything from the other side of the wall? The other wall where I can put my bed also shares a wall with the next door apartment, but that wall is the likely place where my neighbor will place his or her bed and I thought that might get a little weird if either of us is, uh, entertaining in the evening. Thoughts?
Thanks

On average I change bulbs every 3 or 4 weeks. They should last longer than that. I've been buying G/E 75 watt long life light bulbs in 4 packs @ $1.88 thinking they were good bulbs for a reasonable price. Which they are usually, in a normal house. I checked our line voltage measuring in at between 112 - 118 volts. I don't think this is the problem. I don't think it is spikes since we have three computers on surge protectors always on and they seem to be fine. And no noticeable problems with the T.V. Just blowing bulbs like they're going outta style !. please help.
