On average I change bulbs every 3 or 4 weeks. They should last longer than that. I've been buying G/E 75 watt long life light bulbs in 4 packs @ $1.88 thinking they were good bulbs for a reasonable price. Which they are usually, in a normal house. I checked our line voltage measuring in at between 112 - 118 volts. I don't think this is the problem. I don't think it is spikes since we have three computers on surge protectors always on and they seem to be fine. And no noticeable problems with the T.V. Just blowing bulbs like they're going outta style !. please help.

What are your light fixtures rated for? You might want to check that.

the following is a idea......per chance the replace bulbs are of a lesser high quality because the unique bulbs. first element i'd do, is purchase GE bulbs, or different reliable high quality replace bulbs earlier going too a recommendations into an ordinary restore. there is an previous conserving..."You get what you pay for."

You checked the voltage, but not the switches! If your wiring is old and worn out, I'm not surprised you're having issues with the light bulbs.

or your house may be haunted. Which is cheaper - change the switches or move?

well if its not surgers there is always the chance of the supernatural...my mom is into that stuff and she says that spirits usually mess with electrical things...especially light bulbs...she also said something about people that have lots of energy can blow bulbs out.....weird thing is that that happens when she walks in a room.....lol but you know if you believe in this stuff than this can be a cause.... other than that try using bulbs from another company to see if there is any difference...

I have a porch light that I leave on all night. I would replace it with a new "regular" about every 6 weeks. I finally replaced it with one of those curly fluorescent bulbs. I haven't had to replace it yet ... it's been over 2 years!

I'm sorry that your problem is right there in front of you! You thought you got a good deal when the store had a very good reason to reduce price of bulbs. Go to lower wattage or switch to flourescent screw ins
