I hate when I'm walking on a sidewalk with trees or bushes, a yellow jacket will just out of nowhere burst out the bush or tree and get all up in your face (and I mean like inches away from your nose, I can see every black stripe on their body)! Then, I can either run in the opposite direction and look crazy or stupid or I can just try to walk around it or swat it away - and get stung. I've gotten stung on my face and neck before. Is this normal yellowjacket behavior?

We are considering purchasing a home where the previous owner smoked. Will changing the carpet and repainting the walls get rid of the smell? What else can we do to make sure the home will be safe and comfortable to live in? Thanks.

I was going to exchange contracts, however an inspection revealled a large damp patch in the utility room on the wall and ceiliing near the boiler.

Upon further inspection I noticed that the ensuite floor had a large wet patch around it. I also noticed that outside the brickwork around the overflow pipe was very wet. The estate agent said doesnt look like much. I am concerned that I will buy the house and end up with a very expensive repair.

Knowone lives at the place as the owner passed away and its the brother who is selling it. The agent threatened me by saying that if I am being awkward then there is a liklyhood the seller may pull out. Its strange he said that considering he did not speak to the seller(brother)

I am not sure if I can tell them to claim on the insurance so that I get peace of mind as I assume any water leak damage would be covered. I am worried it could cost thousands.

I also noticed that there was a slate missing and the guttering looked bad.

We live in the SF bay area, just planted an asian pear tree. The leaves are turning which could indicate the change in weather if the tree is suppose to lose it's leaves. If not then I might be watering it too much.
