I know you have Ross Dress for Less stores in Houston (like we have here in PA). They are one of my favorite sources for cheap home decor. I have gotten many items there for 75% less than I've seen them in other places. Also the Joann Fabric stores have huge home deco departments, often with half off or more sales. If you like artificial plants, that's the best place for them. You also have an IKEA store (on the katy Freeway) -- hard to beat IKEA for cheap artwork and home decoration items.

go to bookstore and look at a bunch of home and garden books and get lots of good ideas. i just had a home built 1 year ago and love my new house.

i loved buying tropical shower curtains nice glass table for my computer. still work in progress for other perfect items.
